The Courtyard Room is the ideal solution for guests looking for a more economic option to enjoy the full experience of being at one with the Alentejo atmosphere and having the full experience of literally having nature right at your doorstep. This room, located near courtyard stables outside the main building, faces the beautiful courtyard while still enabling access to the main farmhouse amenities. Significant for this rooms is its sleek, minimalistic yet cosy design with customised and individual features, such as a patterned area rug and elegant curtains. Among the many details inside this room that will ensure your comfort, we point out the private bathroom and the central heating. Rosa Estates: The Farmhouse & Stables is situated on a property that comprises 10 hectares of cork trees and holm oaks on an unspoiled and beautiful landscape. It can be considered an alternative and unique option that combines the short-term rental of the suites to a full, exclusive and private use of a property which offers several programs that are tailored to suit our guests. Our aim is to provide to our guests a stay in a very special farmhouse, with 6 double suites (2 with king-sized beds, 2 with queen-sized beds and 2 with large single beds, all of which have an en-suite bathroom). The Farmhouse offers fireplaces in the living room and dining room, a regional kitchen, a pool, a barbecue terrace and a number of outdoor areas. Activities and services offered include: jogging, under-the-cork-trees picnic service, swimming, yoga classes, personal trainer sessions, outdoor cinema, summer pool DJ, babysitting, individual meal orders or full table service group meals, winter bingo nights, music entertainment (fado ou cantares Alentejanos night), groups board games on winter nights, cooking lessons, wine tasting sessions/lessons, leisure vintage cycling, flee market tours, bio agriculture activities, limo service, tourism guides and many others. THE ROOMS - Among the many details inside the rooms that will ensure your comfort, we point out the private en-suite baths, the central heating and the comfortable, well-sized orthopaedic beds. THE LIVING ROOM - The 100m2 living room can comfortably accommodate all guests and visitors. It has a cinema screen, backgammon and card games. THE KITCHEN - The kitchen is spacious, fantastic for large cooked (has all kinds of pots and accessories) and sophisticated cuisine. The utility room has a wine cellar and the kitchen offers all the amenities you need, such as a refrigerator and large freezer, all machines such as a microwave, oven, garbage, juicer, coffee machines, electric mixer, etc. This kitchen is an amazing space to be cooking with family, friends or other guests. THE DINING ROOM - The 50m2 dining room can comfortably accommodate all guests and visitors. The table has a maximum of 16 seats. For dinners with up to 30 guests, we are able to offer two additional tables: one with 10 seats and another with 4 seats. We can also offer a formal dining service with sophisticated cutlery, wine glasses, champagne, etc. Rosa Estates: The Farmhouse & Stables has facilities to accommodate up to 3 horses during your stay, so you are welcome to bring your own horse and book in advance. We also have a big paddock, a riding arena, and 87ha of this beautiful property for you to use for riding and taking horse-riding lessons. Apart from the private room, all living spaces are shared We don't offer 24h service but we do offer a fully equipped kitchen where you are welcome to cook. We also offer you complimentary tea, coffee, fruits and cereals to start your day. Pet Friendly - We kindly ask you to bring a dog blanket and basket with you. Please consider that pets are not allowed in the garden areas. We reserve the right to charge an additional cleaning fee of €50 and to claim insurance compensation in case of damages. Towels & Linen - We will give you clean towels and linen when you check-in. If you want to change your towels, please ask the reception. We reserve the right to charge an additional cleaning fee of €50 if the towels or linen are a damaged with stains or other. Shower - Complimentary shampoo, hair conditioner and shower gel is available in all our bathrooms. Extra Beds - We don’t have extra beds. The rooms have capacities for 2 people. Meals - We offer ready-made traditional meals and also tabled server meals with prior arrangement. Shuttle Service - We can further provide a chauffeur with a car, if clients want to be guided during their stay. The cost depends on the car type, capacity, service provided, etc. Among the vast golden plains of Alentejo is the quiet district of Portalegre, a serene destination interior full of Baroque architecture, colossal medieval castles and intriguing places with megalithic remains. Sharing your location with the imposing Serra de São Mamede, between Portugal and Spain, this bucolic district imposes itself with its unique landscape formed by the rolling countryside of the Alto Alentejo sub-region and the dense and lush forests that characterize the northern country. Thanks to this strategic position near the Spanish border, Portalegre was a crucial point in national defense during the Middle Ages, becoming one of the most historically acclaimed districts of Portugal. In addition, it is known that Portalegre was inhabited long before the medieval times and evokes the memory of primitive heritage with its many Roman remains and prehistoric monuments. Visit Portalegre and its winding cobbled streets lead to the main attractions; the buildings of baroque inspiration to fine museums, fabulous examples of religious architecture to the magnificent fragments of medieval walls. Among the famous St. Bernard Convent, admire the delicate tomb of its founder, enjoy the collection of Mannerist paintings in the beautiful Cathedral Portalegre Cathedral and get to know the amazing tradition of the district in the area of tapestries at the Museum of Tapestry Guy Fino. The collection of religious art on display in the House Museum Jose Regio is another worthy suggestion to visit. Immerse yourself in the medieval past of the Alentejo and visit the impressive walled town of Marvão, which hosts one of the most historic castles of Portugal. On the outskirts of this old village are impressive Roman remains, a fascinating attraction that will delight the most curious travelers. The bucolic village of Castelo de Vide is considered one of the most romantic areas of the Alentejo and is mainly visited for its Jewry – a captivating area where you can visit the oldest synagogue in the country, of gothic-inspired buildings and historic streets. The flagship Elvas fortress town is known for its impressive aqueduct, the mighty castle of the thirteenth century and the excellent selection of museums. Famous for its delicious cheese and craft, the picturesque village of Nisa is the tranquility and natural beauty of the Portalegre district, with its splendid spa and nearby dams – some of the most fascinating places of the Alentejo. VILA DE MONFORTE Monforte is a Portuguese municipality located in the Alto Alentejo region, Portugal. The heart of the town is the Praça da República, decorated by orange trees and a fountain. The square is framed by the City Hall, several Baroque palaces, the Igreja da Orden Terceira Church (18th century), The Igreja Matriz Church with the Capela dos Ossos Chapel (18th century). This chapel is totally covered in bones and human skulls. Outside the city walls it’s worth visiting the Casa do Prior (18th century), and the Igreja de Santa María Magdalena Church (15th century), nowadays City Museum. In the exit to Viamonte, you will find several buildings such as the Capela do Senhor da Boa Morte (19th century), the Templo de São João Baptista Temple (18th c.), the Igreja da Conceição (17th-18th c.) and the Igreja do Calvário Church (18th c.). The latter has a Greek cross floorplan and a slender cupola. At the time of check-in, you will be charged the remaining 50%, as well as a deposit of €100. This deposit amount is intended to cover possible damages of small objects. For the damage of bigger and more valuable objects, such as paintings or carpets, clients are obliged to pay the real value of that object.
