Enjoy the peace of snow shoeing, cross country skiing, nature walks. Summer brings beautiful sunshine on the two tiered private dock from morning to dusk. Clean, clear water for swimming, kayaking, boating. PLEASE NOTE: bookings must be made by a person 25 yrs. minimum and must be on the premises during the booked dates. STRICT “no pet” policy. Beautiful views, summer and winter, of the lake from the open concept kitchen, dining room and great room with cathedral ceiling & fireplace. Master bdrm with en-suite & second bdrm & bathroom on main floor. Additional sleeping in upper bdrm and common area. Pool table on second floor overlooking great room. Balcony on second floor. LOFT OPTION - is separate & private and can be booked in addition to main lake house - TO VIEW - see last six photos. Sleeps six. Special requests can be arranged directly with your host —After Airbnb confirmation. Please enjoy and respect our waterfront home as your own. PLEASE NOTE: On dock/deck area SUN UMBRELLA must be put down each evening. Water craft must be out of water and secured each night. Our home should be left as neat and tidy as you found it. There will be some locked closets for our personal items. Property owner may occasionally access dock for use of personal watercraft. We are close by and can be contacted 24/7 in urgent cases. We are located on a private cottage road. Boat/sea doo rentals are available at local marinas. Shallow sandy public beach on Hwy 620 (15 min drive). Visit the Chandos Lake Property Owners Association web site to find events such as the annual Kids Fishing Derby. It's a five minute drive to the village of Apsley. Here you will find a drugstore, library, a gym at NK community center, a few shops and eateries. Sadly our grocery store burned down in early December 2020. Construction of new grocery store begins May 2022. Nearest grocery stores are Lakefield and Bancroft. Chantilly’s Place (5 min. drive, marina off Woodland Dr.) have some groceries, clothing and take out food. Hunter's General Store has great pizza and subs. The Grape 'n Wedge is a gourmet food & gift store, also has daily soup & sandwich specials. Common Ground is great for take out foods and specialty drinks. Parks; Silent Lake Provincial, Eagle's Nest, our area has fantastic Fall Studio Tours Bancroft (Gem Capital of Canada) is half hour to the north. The city of Peterborough is one hour south. Two large storage bins contain water toys in one, the other a mini fridge & cupboard with glasses, stereo. A canoe, kayaks & kids kayaks. Boats and paddle boards are available to rent at one of our marinas. Outdoor fireplace. Also note: dishwasher & laundry facilities in house. Bed linens provided on request, no charge. Bath linens - hand towels only. Bring your own wash clothes and bath towels. Kitchen linens - tea towels and dish clothes provided. Balcony & Pool table on second floor with view of lake. Strict NO pet policy. Strict NO SMOKING/Vaping policy inside the cottage. Containers for anyone smoking are provided for outside use.
