We are surrounded by a stunningly beautiful landscape, composed of Mountains and the Sea. Comfy beds, cosy rooms and an open fire to breakfast by, ensure a relaxed stay. Not to forget, a 2 min walk will take you to our local restaurants and pubs. We offer four en-suite guest rooms with either a double bed or twin beds, please inquire for family and pet-friendly accommodation. The price is for 2 adults per room. Guest have access to private Guestrooms with Bathrooms and the Dining room for Breakfast. We have a guest lounge and there is a picknick bench in the garden and children are welcome to play on our swing, the village playpark is 200m away. The walks to Castle Varrich and the Kyle of Tongue circuit start here. We love fishing, hillwalking, cycling and will help in any way we can. The Kyle of Tongue Holiday Park does bicycle rentals and the Kyle of Tongue circuit is a lovely and quiet 13-mile cycle off the main North Coast 500 route. We live in a very remote area. It is ideal for walking, fishing, cycling and photography, bird/seal/otter/whale watching, or simply enjoying the views. People are friendly and help out in any kind of emergency. Roads are mostly single track and courtesy is keeping everyone happy. Sheep, lambs, deer and highland cattle roam free and use roads frequently, cyclists and walkers will be thankful for careful driving, too. The Post Office is a village hub with a little cafe, shop, deli as well as banking and postal services. Local hotels over bar and restaurant breakfast, lunch, and dinner with last orders between 8.30-9.00 pm. At the weekends and during the summer season there is a good chance for some live music. Tongue is a village with dramatic scenery and a perfect starting point for several Munro and hill walks. The Moine Flow Country peatlands are amazing, wide-open spaces bordered by mountains and the sea. The Kyle of Tongue and it's easy accessible beautiful beaches are ideal for spotting wildlife, fishing, kayaking, windsurfing, snorkeling, cycling or just relaxing. And to finish off your day, why not try some Kyle of Tongue oysters, Loch Erribol Langoustines, local lobster, mussels, salmon or venison dinner options! Public transport is available from Transport for Tongue and The Durness Bus Company. We offer a pet-friendly chalet, please inquire for availability. Our other guestrooms are pet-free and all rooms are smoke and vape free.
