Come stay at our private guest house in quiet, peaceful comfort. Tranquil Mill Creek runs just outside the front window of this crisp, clean 1 bedroom guest house. Covered & lighted concrete walkway from your car to the front door. Super Wifi, device charging, air conditioning (set at a constant 72 degrees), microwave, griddle, hot plate, full size fridge, clothes iron, washer/dryer, king bed, smart Tvs, Rokus. Same day bookings usually possible, just ask! *** Property next door was recently purchased and is being remodeled. The new owners are about half done. Please just ignore it while it gets a welcomed makeover! Crisp and clean with brand new furnishings, this adorable one bedroom guest house is hidden behind a privacy gate and open to huge span of Mill Creek. Bedroom has king size bed with Purple brand mattress! Lots of cozy blankets and pillows make you want to just fall in and never get up. Wall mount smart tvs with Rokus and super wifi. Kitchen has full size fridge, microwave, griddle, hot plate, coffee maker, coffee press, pod brewer and everything you need for a comfy stay. (No stove/oven/dishwasher). Counter height kitchen table perfect for sipping coffee while watching the creek run by. Living room has couch and coffee table which lifts to desk height to double as a work space. (Small person can sleep on couch). Ottoman offers curl up reading by day and fold out twin bed at night. A guitar hangs on the wall just for fun so feel free to play it. Inside the front door is a charging station for all your small devices. Bathroom has glass shower (6'3") and stocked with fluffy towels. First aid kit under the vanity. Includes private washer and dryer! Free covered parking too. Oh, and did we mention Air Conditioning? We set it at an automatic 70 degrees and we can change it to a few degrees higher or lower as is comfortable for you, just let us know. This sweet guest house has everything you need! Remember NO FIRES. This is property has lots of trees and nature around so please expect foresty things....bugs, dirt, wildlife, plants, all types of good and bad that you would see in a forest setting. The outdoor rocking chairs in front are for you to use freely. Try to not rock yourself into the creek though :) Do not take our towels or blankets outside please. We start you off with plenty of spices, oil, coffee, laundry soap, garbage bags and bathroom consumables. There are lots of stores and shops nearby if you need more or specialized items. Parking for one vehicle only. Additional vehicles must park elsewhere. No fires, fireworks, combustables or smoking/vaping of any kind on property. Feel free to walk to the creek and watch wildlife in front of unit and on private door side of building. Self check in and check out via text (just text me when you are in and when you are out). I live on the property in another house but you can't see or hear me. Feel free to text or call if you need something! Most businesses are open regular hours as long as you wear a mask. Post office is 5 blocks south. Costco and Walmart are 5 minutes east. Downtown Salem with all of its amenities is west, only 5 minutes by car or walk it in about 12 blocks. Even the Salem Airport is just a mile south. Beautiful and historic downtown Salem has every kind of restaurant, coffee house, bar and grill you can think of. Entertainment options from movies and wine tasting to cake wars and car shows. Visit our famous Historical districts and museums, Riverfront Park, The Carousel and the Willamette Queen Sternwheeler (River Boat). And so much more! Downtown Salem is super walkable or bikeable and popular with our state Capitol building, Willamette University, Salem Hospital and Bush's Nature Park. A short car ride in any direction will take you to multiple water falls and hiking trails, wineries and glider rides. A day trip will take you to to Oregon Coast Aquarium, Hatfield Marine Science Center, Seaside, OMSI Science Center, a Blazers game or skiing down Mt Hood. There is something for everyone here! All kinds of options to get around from walking to taxi and Uber. Rent a car or bring your own (1 parking space). You can even bring or rent a bike. We've teamed up with a local dry cleaner to offer you a discount and even free pick up and delivery in a pinch! Cleaning fee covers most stays. Excessive cleaning required will be charged at $50 per hour for as long as it takes to put the house back in prior condition. Please do not bring extra people, any animals or allow smoking on the property. That is an awkward conversation for both of us and will result in additional charges.
