Loft apartment, deck and great water view

Great location, walk to town & only steps to the Connecticut River. Great for train aficionados- you can watch and photograph the famous Essex steam train in action.This historic factory built in 1874 has manufactured sails, metal objects and lastly Lace. Enjoy your private comfortable apartment with river views and deck. This private apartment overlooks the Connecticut River, Essex steam train and Becky Thatcher Riverboat. It is part of an old factory. You have your own private entrance and deck. Please feel free to play with our dog, cat and chickens. The animals do not go inside your space, though. Angus and I both work a lot but we are home every night and would be happy to hang out with you for a bit. On a good night maybe we'll take a boat ride or go for a paddle! Or walk into town with you to check out the pub up the street. Our neighborhood is awesome, the river is right across the street we get to see everybody because they walk their dogs down here. There is a park across the street -you might be lucky enough to be there on a concert night. You can walk into town it's less than a mile away. This building is an event venue. We are three seasons and do weddings from April to November. Weekends would not be available as we have weddings and your space doubles as the bridal suite!!! Public transportation is a little bit tricky, although you can take a train to Saybrook which is about 15 minutes from us and either take a taxi or Uber or possibly we can pick you up at the train station if that is your mode of transportation. Other than that we are very close to the highway and a convenient drive.
