Solevad Cottage in the woods.

A small newly built cottage, one room 30m2 plus bathroom approx. 4m2. Placed in a wooded area quiet and secluded, the perfect retreat atmosphere. The cottage is placed at the opposite end of a 1-acre plot from our house. There are possibilities for walks in nature in quiet solitude. The cottage has an outdoor kitchen with grill and gas hotplate, it has also its own fire pit for a cosy evening by the fire. If you like quiet natural surroundings, but close to the city, this is it. Our home is in a secluded area, quiet and secluded, we are though close to a small town and not far from the city of Odense which is the birthplace of Hans Christian Andersen. My wife and I built the cottage and the main house and we enjoy sharing this beautiful spot with others. We are on the edge of a forested area that is open most of the time for walking. We are placed almost in the center of the island of Fyn so everything is within easy driving distance. As our guest, you have the whole of this small house for yourselves. Most of our garden is open to you. Right by the cottage are a fire pit area and an outdoor kitchen that is for our guests only. If you need any advice on local sites of interest, we may be able to help, so please just ask. 11km from the cottage there is an organic cafe that serves good warm and cold meals. brunch, warm and cold drinks. For sightseeing, we are a 30 min drive from Egeskov castle a stately home that is open to the public and a slightly shorter drive to Ladby Viking museum which has a quite rare Viking ship grave that is open to the public. Also in Odense is the living museum "Den Fynske landsby" and an iron age village. On the island off Fyn where we live there are many beautiful and historic places to visit and beautiful beaches, and our house is approx in the center of Fyn. 1 km from the cottage you can find bus services to Odense the third largest city in Denmark and the home of H.C.Andersen. Otherwise, we are 10 min from the motorway to Jutland or towards Copenhagen.
