The castle has 2 bedrooms and sleeps 6 Shep's Castle was built in 1928 and although there's been updates it still has many of it's original funky features. If you enjoy the charms of cabin living you'll be right at home **Price is based on double occupancy - each add'l guest is $20/night. Welcome to Shep's Castle, your perfect vacation cabin on Hood Canal! Enjoy the sunset while relaxing on the deck of this RUSTIC and charming, 1930's cabin. They're have been a few updates but parts of the cabin are original, cute and funky. What a perfect ending to a day of swimming, diving, fishing or just hanging around on a lovely, private cove populated by a few lovely cabins. Shep's Castle is located on a small county beach that is accessed via a path down a small rocky slope. This two bedroom cabin is perfect for a small family or just a couple wanting to enjoy the solitude of our lovely home. The master has a queen bed and beautiful maple floors and a gorgeous cedar cathedral ceiling. The 2nd bedroom has a double bed and there is a foldout futon in the living room. It is an open floor plan, perfect for a romantic getaway or small family. My cabin is just 25 steps from the water, over a nice grassy lawn that is owned by the county. One night & Two night rates are available, please inquire :) Dogs are allowed, there is a $100 pet fee. Please note: due to the size of the accomodations, Shep's Castle may not accommodate all sizes of guests. It is not tiny by any means, but a cozy little cabin. It has been brought to my attention that the approx 3' by 3' shower is too small for some of the larger guests who have stayed. We are located just minutes away from Hoodsport, just one cove North of the famous dive spot, Octopus Hole.
