Sorry, already booked for TT fortnight 2022* Situated in Douglas on the Isle of Man, Bishop's Lodge is a detached flat in the grounds of our family house, ideal for couples. We are within easy reach of Douglas promenade, local walks and shops. Secure free parking, storage for bikes. Bishop's Lodge is a self catering apartment providing ideal accommodation for couples holidaying on the Isle of Man. It is not a lodge in the traditional sense, but is a detached annex next to the main house, Hillsdene, where we live with our two young children Imogen and Oliver and small dog Rosie. The Lodge is self contained and separate from the main house. The accommodation has solid oak flooring throughout, a birch kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a fully tiled shower room with a modern suite and power shower. The lounge and separate bedroom with double bed make this accommodation ideal for a couple. There is free wifi, a TV with freeview channels, a DVD player with surround sound, and a range of DVDs are available for viewing. We also have excellent parking facilities and garaging for motorbikes or bicycles. There is a small but pleasant outside private space with seating. Please note however that the rest of the garden is part of the main house and not available to guests. The Lodge has its own entrance and is completely private, quiet and is not overlooked by the garden or house. However you may come into contact with us on the driveway or in the garden as you come and go, and as we go about our daily routines. We respect your right to privacy on your holiday, but if you would like to chat we are more than happy to stop and do so! We love our Island and will be happy to help you out with where is best to go and what to do during your stay. We are usually around to welcome you personally but if we are not we will send you details to access the Lodge. We are on the outskirts of Douglas yet within easy walking and driving distance of attractions and shops. While we are on Quartebridge Road which can get busy (for the Isle of Man!) the Lodge is set well back from the road and is quiet and peaceful. A range of amenities is situated close by on Woodbourne Road, a short walk (10 minutes) or drive away, where you will find a chemist, grocery shops, local pubs, and several take away food shops. The Lodge is within easy access of Douglas town centre, which comprises of all the usual high street shops, and a range of restaurants, wine bars and pubs. There is a bus stop five minutes’ walk away, which gives you access to the major bus routes around the Island as well as buses into and out of Douglas. We have free secure parking for one car. Please note our wifi has now been fixed! It is now reliable, with a strong signal, free and included in your stay.
