Rose da Mar is a superb property with impressive views of St Just Creek and beyond across the waters of the Carrick Roads, where the sun sets creating a perfect environment for evening barbecues and whiling the hours away enjoying the ever-changing vista. The accommodation is immaculately presented, with a spacious lounge and cosy wood-burning stove. There are dozens of fantastic walks on your doorstep, and as a dog-friendly property, even your furry friends are ensured a fabulous holiday. The harbour village of St Mawes is two miles to the south, and there are some delightful beaches nearby, the whole of the Roseland Peninsula, including a myriad of beautiful beaches, secluded coves, traditional fishing villages and excellent coastal walks are right on your doorstep. At St Just Creek there is a stone beach, boatyard and boat launching point which is a 10-minute walk or a 3-minute drive away. A visit to the pretty churchyard at St Just should not be missed during your stay. Surrounded by sub-tropical gardens and nestled on the edge of the creek, there has been a place of worship here since the sixth century and there are fewer more peaceful places in the country. The recent addition of Miss V's tea room just above the church is well worth a stop for sustenance, a cream tea or cake as you negotiate the steep hill back up to Rose Da Mar. Accommodation Ground Floor: Front door leads into porch with space for boots, then into the hallway with doors to living room and open plan kitchen dining room. There are fully fitted units and appliances, dining table and chairs, trifold doors out onto the patio with stunning views over the Carrick Roads. Utility room to rear with washing machine/dryer, back door and space for boots and coats. Double aspect, living room with comfortable seating and wood-burning stove. Single bedroom with 3' bed and storage. WC and hand basin. Stairs to the first floor. First Floor: Landing with doors leading to Master bedroom with 5' double bed, storage, French doors to a private balcony with table, chairs and stunning views, ensuite shower room with WC and hand basin. Twin bedroom with 3' beds and storage. Small double bedroom with 4' bed and storage. Family bathroom with shower over the bath, WC and hand basin. External: Patio area with lovely views, Rattan table and chairs, charcoal barbecue, parasol, further garden laid to lawn and surrounded by hedges. The garden is NOT dog proof. Facilities & Services Heating is oil fired central heating throughout, and there is also a wood-burning stove in the living room. There is a flat-screen TV in the living room and a DVD player. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave, under-counter fridge and freezer with a separate fridge in the dining room. There is WiFi throughout the property. There is a charcoal BBQ for use if required. Miscellaneous Electricity, heating bed linen & towels are all included, but we would request you bring your beach towels. There is parking for two cars in front of the garage opposite the property. One well behaved dog is welcome at a small additional cost of £30 per week. We regret no smoking is permitted. There are a cot and high chair available upon request. A basket of logs will be supplied during winter months, more is available from the Co-op in St Mawes. General Booking Information Arrival / Departure is a Friday £250 pre-authorised to your credit or debit card as a cautionary security deposit is required. Short breaks are available out of season.
