Or simply relax and watch the amazing seascape from your cottage. Slip back in time and feel the history. Newton Cottage South is a C Listed Building in the Conservation Area of Newtown Inveraray. The house was built between 1800 – 1850. The owner bought the house in 2013. The previous owner was the Duke of Argyll. The owner has been visiting family in Inveraray since 1955. The Buntain name has been traced back to the 12th Century in the town. The owner was the nephew of the only Lady Provost of Inveraray, Helen Buntain. The family business was blacksmiths coal merchants and haulage contractors.
