Chalet at Base of Belleayre Ski Mountain

Welcome to our Ski Chalet! We are located right at the base of Belleayre Mountain in the beautiful Catskills! The house sits on a quiet road, yet right off of rt. 28 so easy to get too! We are happy to share our home with you to create wonderful memories of spending time in nature in the beautiful Catskill Mountains. We have a cozy home built in 1865, filled with charm and modern updates. There are three bedrooms, 2 with very comfortable queen size beds, and the third smaller room accommodates a twin over full bunk bed and twin size bed, perfect for children. The kitchen is nicely equipped with a gas range, pots, pans, knives, utensils, crockpot, etc. (During COVID we have removed most condiments so please plan to supply your own.) The Dinning Room has a large table that fits a nice family dinner or a cozy dinner for 2. Our Living Room has a huge, comfortable couch that the whole family can rest on after a day of skiing, hiking or swimming in the creek! There is a smart tv and good internet so you can stream movies and work comfortably from the home. We have a long circular driveway that can accommodate multiple cars. During peak winter months when there is a lot snow, we recommend an AWD vehicle, while we do get the driveway plowed, we often get snow overnight and it may not get plowed until later in the day. Or park near the entrance of the driveway to get out easier. There is a small fire pit to use in the cleared area of the backyard, and fire extinguishers located near the fireplace and kitchen areas. NOTE: There is no garbage pick-up here. For stays 7 days and under, the garbage pick-up fee is included in the cleaning fee. For longer reservations, we will need to charge extra for regular garbage pick-up. ($30/pickup) These fees can be paid via Airbnb resolution center. We are pet friendly. We do ask that you only bring well behaved, house broken pets and clean up after them. We keep rags under the kitchen sink should you need one to clean paws after a walk/hike outside. You have access to the entire house, we keep the hallway closet upstairs for our personal family supplies. We keep some spare bathroom supplies in the bathroom closet as well as robes, please feel free to use during your stay. The yard is wonderful for children to run around, go sledding down the hill in the winter, or relax on the porch or back deck and watch nature. We keep spare firewood in the shed at the front of the house, but we ask that you are considerate in how much you use. We get one supply to last the winter for all our guests to use. We are available by phone or text throughout your entire stay and can answer any questions before your arrival as well. If you are looking for fun things to do in the area or great places to eat, I have great suggestions! We are located at the base of Belleayre Ski. The house is in a quiet location, yet easy to get to skiing, hiking trails (including those directly in the backyard), restaurants, and more. A car is recommended, AWD in the winter. But because of our location, you can take a bus from NYC and get off right down the road, a 3 minute walk from the house. There is also a shuttle to take you to Belleayre Skiing, a five minute walk from the house. There is one video camera on the front porch, pointed on the driveway.
