Mount Grace Cottages

Hello! Welcome to our home. We hope you have a great time in the Underberg area. The Underberg area is known for it's activities and adventures and is a haven for nature lovers, hikers, fly fishing, mountain bikers, paddlers, bird watchers and adventure seekers alike. There are so many interesting places to visit and things to do - scenic Sani Pass, horse riding, mountain bike trails, the mighty Umzimkulu River, many golf courses and hiking trails. Enjoy your stay at Mount Grace. The Rooms The rooms are designed to cater for all needs from spacious bathrooms to comfortable king, queen and three quarter size beds with quality linen. Eight adults and five children is the maximum capacity. All rooms have outdoor patios to while away the time enjoying the peace and tranquility in the beautiful surroundings. All bath towels are provided, however we ask you to please bring your swimming towels in summer or if you’re up for the Polar Bear Challenge! Room Configuration: Room 1 – Luxury en suite (1 King, sleeps 2 only) Room 2 – Twin en suite (2 Three quarter beds, sleeps 2 only) Room 3 – Luxury en suite (Queen, sleeps 2) Room 4 – twin en suite (two three quarters sleeps 2 only) “The Train” – Five Singles down the long passage (ideal for children and lots of fun) We usually suggest that if parents are sleeping in room 3 or 4, to have their children sleep in the beds closest to them. However if your children prefer to sleep closer to you, please chat to Anna or Mavis depending who is on duty, about making up a mattress in your room for them. There are 4 electric blankets and lots of warm blankets, however please pack accordingly for the weather. You might be lucky and see snow up Sani Pass, depending on the timing of your visit. It has been said that it has snowed in the Underberg area in every month of the year over the years. Anna or Mavis will ensure that all the geysers are turned on in preparation for your visit. (wood is for sale for R70.00 per wheelbarrow load) Fire safety is paramount and each guest is held responsible for being vigilant should they choose to make a fire in any of the fireplaces. Guests are welcome to enjoy the gardens in front of the respective cottage they are renting and to take walks up the hill at the back of the house as well as down to the river frontage Mount Grace Cottages enjoys. Please be conscious of other guests. Please adhere to the maximum guest stay as per our policy and do not invite extra guests to Mount Grace Cottages at any time. Thank you in advance. Please be vigilant of snakes when out walking as there are a number of species endemic to the Southern Drakensberg area. Furthermore should you make use of any of the fireplaces please be responsible and ensure that fire safety is adhered to at all times.
