Oceanfront Home with Private Dock and Awesome Views
This lovely waterfront home and private dock suitable for a 40' boat, is nestled in sheltered, picturesque Brentwood Bay. Our two-story home on a half acre features a beautiful living room with antique furnishings, piano, a river rock fireplace and floor to ceiling windows with panoramic views of the bay and marine activity. The master bedroom features a queen size bed and floor to ceiling windows overlooking the bay as well. The modern kitchen has a heating Italian tile floor and a glassed-in eating area overlooking the seaside and gardens. Two other bedrooms are in the home with the fourth one being in the separate casita (with a full bathroom). Perfect setup for an extra couple or the in-laws. There is a total of 4 bathrooms. Glass sliding doors lead out to the patio where there is a hot tub and a BBQ. From there you can access the dock for a swim or take out the kayaks or row boat to explore the bay. Children love swimming and playing on the beach. A short stroll leads to nearby marinas and a good selection of pubs and restaurants. Butchart Gardens is within walking or rowing distance. On Saturday nights in the summer, a short paddle around the point at dusk will lead you into Todd Inlet to join the gathering of the many boaters anticipating a free peek at the world-class display of fireworks at Butcharts. There is stunning scenery and wildlife to encounter. We have had baby seals born on the wharf nearly every June or July and we have had occasional whales in the bay. Day to day you can watch herons, eagles, seals, otters and more right in front of the house. In the bay, there is salmon fishing, prawning and crabbing. The Brentwood Bay ferry is 5 minutes away and takes passengers and vehicles on a scenic shortcut to Mill Bay, if you are planning a road trip up Vancouver Island. This home is the perfect getaway to relax and get away as well as being only a 20 minute drive into lively Victoria. In Victoria you can take a ride on the Tally Ho, go whale watching or visit the Empress Hotel for tea. Then you can come back to our home, relax by the sea, take a paddle in the kayak (4 of them) or soak in the hot tub watching the sun sink into the horizon. It's a piece of paradise by the sea.
