Soak up the eclectic, modern charm of this newly built and renovated space. It is situated on Monaghan Farm Estate in the rural, grasslands of Lanseria near the river. The Farm has numerous walking trails which can be enjoyed. Enjoy the endless Highveld sunsets and heavy misty mornings in winter. The natural beauty of the environment can be viewed from both the bedroom and Living roon and the outside private spaces can be enjoyed with a braai or drink This cottage has a separate, private entrance accessed through a mosaic courtyard. In this courtyard you will be able to have a braai and a quiet evening in the safe surroundings of the boma. Follow the path to the front door and be lured into an enchanting entrance hall. Follow the passage to the right to a beautiful eclectic style bedroom with a queen bed and a dressing table which opens onto a north facing deck. An en-suite morrocan type bathroom can be accessed from both the bedroom and living room. There is both an inside and outside shower together with basin and toilet. The living/dining room and kitchen are to the left of the main entrance door. The Living room is a large sunny space with views over the indigenous grasses and trees, leading into a private atrium. The kitchen is open plan onto the living room and is housed in an unique, antique cupboard, with basin, dishwasher, microwave and stove. A Chinese table on wheels become your workspace or dining area within the kitchen. A coffee/tea/drinks station is also available in this special kitchen. There is parking on the property and a private entrance to the cottage. A shared pool can be used in summer This is a self check in cottage. Guests can find their own way to the cottage via a pathway leading from the parking area. During their stay I will be available via (Hidden by Airbnb) , SMS, and the AirBnB App. All relevant information pertaining to the guests visit will be communicated before their arrival. If there are any emergencies, guests may contact the host via the cell phone number. Monaghan Farm forms part of the Cradle of Humankind and was developed as a housing Estate 12 years ago. The ethos of the estate is to rehibilitate the indigenous grasslands and bushveld so as to encourage birds and small wildlife back into the area. The Estate does not allow bright lights, generators or any other equipment that would contribute to air or noise pollution. The whole idea is to create a natural, still, calm environment for peace and a reconnection with nature The best way to access the Estate and cottage is via a motor vehicle. The Lanseria International Airport is 3.5km from Monaghan Farm Estate for guests flying from Africa, Natal and Cape Town. Taxis such as Uber is readily available in the area. Monaghan Estate is access controlled. Only visitors with a valid driver's licence and a up to date car licence will be permitted entry to the estate. There is 24 hour security and the fences are monitored by a Hi Teck camera system.
