Large detached house set in a gravelled courtyard in a rural location, super quiet, backing onto farmland and a bridleway which offers lovely walks (We do live in the property).This is a small village with a pub which offers home cooked food a stones throw away , We are sociable and super friendly and enjoy peoples company. We are more than happy to welcome you on board, We can also offer a take away breakfast if you need to hit the road early for Silverstone or Santa Pod… no charge.. We have 2 separate double rooms. IMPORTANT *******Please note that the price for 2 people is per room only. To book 2 separate rooms for 2 people you will need to book 1 person per booking separately.****** A double bedroom + en suite which accommodates 2 people + a double bedroom with a separate private large bathroom / shower next door which accommodates 2 people . Both rooms have a TV (wifi) + electric fan and hairdryer, Steam iron + ironing board available. Super comfortable with relaxed quiet atmosphere. Unfortunately the price doesn't include cooked breakfast but guests are welcome to tea, coffee, juice, water and toast with jam/marmalade + Cereals. Parking is for 4 cars. Ideal for a family of 4 or 2 separate families/friends. Guest access Guests can have sole use of the kitchen/diner and are very welcome to join us in the lounge. or in the garden when the sun is out... Guests are welcome to use our well equipped kitchen for tea, coffee, drinks and light meals . Guests can relax in the kitchen/dining area which has a large tv, sofa etc. or guests are welcome to join us in the lounge with our log burner. Weather permitting there is access to a large secluded private patio and garden area. 5 min drive to local historical town with pubs, restaurants, cafes and gift shops. Welcome to our home we will greet you on arrival , we are friendly easygoing hosts, always available. A very quiet and peaceful area all year round. We are close to major highways and railway networks, although the bus service is limited we are happy to offer taxi service to and from any nearby events we have a 7 seater , small fee required. local taxis available too. ALTHORP HOUSE / SILVERSTONE / SANTA POD / ROCKINGHAM CASTLE / BOUGHTON HOUSE / WICKSTEED PARK / WOBURN ABBEY From 1st July – 1st September you can visit LADY DIANA'S spectacular resting place, ALTHORP HOUSE, which is a 40 min drive. we can organise a superb picnic basket 4u Prosecco/strawberries etc. Even transport if needed, at an extra charge. Tickets need to be obtained. A day out to be remembered. Lots of events nearby during the year, including a 40's festival August Bank holiday at Twinwoods, the airfield where Glenn Miller left from on his fatal flight. dress in 40's style. Ideal if you are a cyclist, car or motorbike enthusiasts, SANTA POD DRAG RACING (15 Mins), SILVERSTONE (40 min). Historical town of Higham Ferrers nearby. Numerous Country pubs within a few miles, Chelveston village was the site of WW2 USA B52 bomber air base, there is a memorial in the village to remember the fallen airmen. Large new retail park, 5 minute drive away with state of the art cinema and popular restaurants. Nandos, Five guys, Bills, Wildwood, Wagamama, Pizza express, Zizzi’s. plus top notch stores. Fantastic boating lake for canoe hire /boats etc.
