Casa Belen At a 10 minutes walk from central park, you will enjoy this finca-style house built in 1976 by an American writer in love with Guatemala. We kept the house in its original style and furniture. The part of the building situated by the street is from colonial era, with 80 cm-thick walls. A first room is fitted with a king size bed. The second room is twice bigger and equipped with one queen sized bed and 2 single beds. These rooms share a bathroom with bathtub and shower. Another building hosts a laundry with washing machine and dryer, as well as a fridge, and an door leads directly to a large equipped kitchen with modern oven, dishwasher, microwave and all kind of accessories for cooking. When you go out out the kitchen, you will enjoy the colonial pila (fountain) before arriving in the main two-storey building. At the first floor, the comedor with view to the pool, then the living room with danish and guatemalan furniture, around a chimney, and in in between, a tropical wood stairs lead to the second floor. When you are up the stairs, the guest room is on your right, and the master bedroom on your left, while right in front of you is the access to the terrace, with astonishing view to the church, Antigua roofs and volcanoes. Both of the rooms are made of wood, with large bookcases facing the king sized beds. A chimney reflecting in a mirror lets you enjoy the fire from your bed in the master bedroom. Each room has its own toilets and shower. When you go down again to the first floor, the door opens on the garden at the back of the house, with a piece of lawn surrounded by tropical lush, and a few acapulco chairs to relax. On the western side of the main building, the space is filled by a 6.5 by 3.5 meters solar heated pool.
