Piano Forte - beautiful rural shepherd hut.

This little Shepherd hut is fully equipped to offer a rural retreat or a base to explore the surrounding area. The village is quintessentially English ! Small church - Village green - a handful of houses - more horses than people - very quiet. We can offer a spare bed for those travelling with children. it is a funky blow up mattress with bedding. Inflated in a minute !! Amazing to watch. Just let us know if you would like the extra bed. You get a hot tub tooooo .. for a small fee payable on booking ! Please note - we have one parking space allocated for Piano Forte - if you need to bring a second vehicle - there is ample parking outside on the road. Please do NOT park on the village green. I will leave you to your self but I live on the site and am available if you need anything - please call for anything !! It is a small village and no pub or shop for 4 miles. please make sure to bring some provisions with you ! Our local attraction is Knettishall Heath - a beautiful walk with wild ponies roaming free. It is about a 20 minute walk to the heath through a canopied country road. Thetford forest is - of course - beautiful with plenty of walking. Go Ape if you are feeling particularly fit !! Thetford town is only about 2 miles from the village where you can pick up supplies. Bury St Edmunds is our local market town - full of independent shops, theatre and cinema. Norwich is our local city with 'everything' that you would want !! Everything ! All the Norfolk coast - beautiful - is about a one hour drive in any direction. We have all the usual chain restaurants in Bury St Edmunds and plenty of local take-aways and fish and chips in local Thetford. What else can I say - you need to come and see us ! We are very rural - you need a car - the closest milk is four miles in any direction. You can get a bus service but you would need to book it 24 hours in advance. The most local train service is in Thetford and taxis run to the site but you would then be 'stuck' - maybe that would be nice in our rushed and busy lives. We have had guests who just turn up and do not leave the small village. Truly rural. Our dogs live on the site but have no access to Piano Forte. Because the area is rural - which is why we live here ! - the mobile and broadband signal can be patchy. It is fine for receiving emails and keeping in touch with friends and family but hopeless for streaming films. The area will make up for the lack of Netflix !
