Enjoy our classic 1835 Vermont farmhouse with spectacular views of Killington and Pico Mountains right from your room. The room has a queen bed, a private bathroom, antique furniture, and private entrance. Historic downtown Rutland is 3 miles away with shops, restaurants, the Paramount Theater, yoga classes, a gym, and a movie theater. We are located in a country setting surrounded by farmland and mountains. The Chittenden Reservoir and Lake Bomoseen are nearby for paddling and swimming. We have 1 comfortable private room furnished with a queen bed, antiques and private bathroom. There are mountain views from the room and the front porch. There is a mini fridge, a micro wave and dishes available in the parlor as well as a pot of hot water for tea or instant oatmeal . The guest room is airy with three windows and fans. There is also air conditioning. There is a private entrance, and you may come and go as you please. In the parlour there is a refrigerator, micro wave and dishes for your use. We greet our guests and are available to answer questions or chat depending on whether or not they need us. I am also happy to let guests know where the room is so they can arrive at their convenience. We are in a peaceful, pastoral setting with mountain views, yet the town of Rutland is only three miles away. There are great restaurants, cafes, shops, movie theater, The Paramount Theater and craft beer pubs. There is a train from NY right into Rutland. We will pick you up or there are convenient taxis, or car rentals. Come visit the Killington Valley, home of the Women's World Cup Ski Race at Killington. We have wonderful views of Killington Mountain from the guest room! There is nearby hiking, skiing, paddling, swimming, or just appreciating nature.
