Funky, family-friendly cabin
Our funky, fun house is nestled in the woods, with a waterfall and brook rushing by outside the large wall of windows. Situated in the Green Mountains, this is the perfect place to relax and play. The large open-floor plan is perfect for families with school-age children. Families with infants and toddlers may not find our home as friendly, as the waterfall, loft and attached farm buildings may create some safety challenges. Our large, open-floor plan vacation home has exactly what you need! 30 minutes from two major ski areas - Killington and Sugar Bush and five minutes from the Middlebury Snow Bowl, our funky and fun house has a big porch for reading and listening to your very own waterfall, a cozy nook under the wall of windows for watching shooting stars, and all the modern amenities you need (and none of the ones you don’t!). This house sleeps eight comfortably, with an upstairs loft with three singles and a double, a downstairs nook with a double and an adjoining room (still part of the large open space) with another double. Rustic (but clean!) and whimsical, this house is a perfect escape into the woods. Set on three acres with its own brook, pond and access to miles of trails through the National Forest right up the road, our house invites you to slow down, be inspired and find your groove. With amenities like Wi-Fi, dishwasher, a washer and dryer and wireless speakers for your iPod/computer, you have the conveniences you need. Without television and limited cell service, you have the invitation to detach just a bit from the world and find the serenity that we all truly need! We have 1 ½ baths and a claw-footed tub in the living area for the truly adventurous at heart! We have a gas grill, firepit, telescope and lots of games! Our house is perfect for families (with school-age children) and dogs, friends and laughter, simple joys and quiet moments. Come and read, write, study, relax, ski, hike, bike, swim or just sit and enjoy the loveliness of the Green Mountains! We are available any time if you have issues or questions.
