Swedish house "Utsikten" with a view on Göta canal

Welcome to our Swedish house that is surrounded by nature, on the edge of the forest, and has a view on the Göta canal. The house is situated uphill and therefore has a great view on the surroundings. In wintertime you can enjoy winter wonderland; in spring and summer there is a lot of blooming nature and boats coming by on the canal. There is a patio down by the canal and a barbecue, and we have rowing boats and canoes available. We live our dream life here. We want you to be part of it! The house is suitable for three to four persons. There is a living room, two seperate bedrooms and a loft where you can sleep. The house is 30 square metres + the loft which can be reached with a ladder. It has just now been built, so everything in it is brand new. A staircase will lead you to a big veranda with a wonderful view and then in to the house. There is a wheelchair access as well, so you can enter with a wheelchair or stroller. The kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, fridge, dishwasher, toaster, coffee machine, microwave oven and kettles plus more. The water is fresh from the source. The bathroom has a shower, sink and washing machine There is also a separate toilet. WiFi is available and free. When you live in our house you have also access to the sauna that we have near the water. Free to use for your comfort. Since we, Jan and Kathleen, are both Kundalini Yoga teachers, there is the opportunity to join our yoga classes for a reduced price. We teach yoga at home in our own yoga studio, or outside near the water in summer time! If you choose to stay with us, there are some additional things that we can offer. Kathleen is an ayurvedic therapist, so there is the possibility to get an ayurvedic massage. Also we engage in ayurvedic cooking, so if this interests you, we would be happy to share our knowledge and could prepare a meal for you. We have been living on this lovely piece of land for 37 years now. We strive to be as self-sustainable as possible. In spring and summer we grow a lot of different vegetables and herbs that we use in the kitchen. We prefer our food to be ecological because we like to nourish ourselves in the most natural way. Every other day, Jan bakes his special bread filled with seeds, which we then take to our yoga studio for people to have after the class. We saved six beautiful hens from the bio-industry, that provide us with fresh eggs every morning. You will have your own patio with privacy to sunbathe, and the option to take a dive in the canal, which is only 100m away. There is a barbecue available near the canal and we also have rowing boats or canoes to use. There is plenty to see in the environment. You can watch the botes glide by on the canal. There are many beautiful hiking trails. The old town of Söderköpping is something to see. Also on a 10min walk you have the chance to see the interesting locks of the Götacanal. SInce the place is quite remote, it is comfortable to come by car. There is parking space available. If you don't have a car, there is a possibility to come by bus. One of us can pick you up from the bus station (if our schedule allows it). We have bicycles here that you can rent in autumn, spring and summer. We are hosts at workaway so we have opened our home for people from all over the world. It has been fantastic, both for us and our volunteers.
