Lovely 2 bedroom cottage in Lesbury

2 The Square is a lovely two bedroom period cottage in a row of cottages set back form the main road in the quiet village of Lesbury, Northumberland. Access is via a gravel track from the main road and you have your own parking space outside the front door. Lesbury is located close to historic Alnwick, and Alnmouth Beach is an easy 30min walk away, or 5 mins in the car. Alnmouth has numerous places to eat and drink and the pub in Lesbury is hoping to open in June 2021. The cottage consists of: entrance porch, living room with log burner, modern kitchen with dining table and chairs, a patio at the rear. Upstairs there is a double and a single bed (there is a truckle bed for a forth guest), shower room with basin and toilet. Guests have access to the whole property and a gravelled patio area at the rear. The owner is contactable anytime and lives in Alnwick. You will rarely see the owner except perhaps on check-in day. Lesbury is a very quiet village with a pub (currently closed) and a small shop and post office. There are many nice walks from the property via road or across country pathways. There’s a river nearby (The Aln) which’s winds it’s way to the village of Alnmouth where you’ll find a beautiful beach, two golf courses, a delicatessen, several pubs and cafes as well as a small shop. There are regular bus routes. The main east coast railway line stops at Alnmouth station, (London in 3.5hrs). By train Edinburgh is just over an hour and Newcastle is 30 minutes. As mentioned there are some lovely walks around Lesbury and beyond, and there are plenty of convenient parking areas. The cottage is situated off the main road and shares a gravel drive with several other properties. Some are holiday let’s and some are lived in.
