Historical country cottage

A romantic country cottage perfect for couples or families, tucked away in a tranquil coastal village, a sanctuary of intrigue and history, close to one of the most beautiful and iconic coast lines in the country. Recently renovated, the cottage is a 5 min drive to the local Alnmouth beach, 4 miles from Alnwick and has three historic castles within a 10 mile radius. The cottage is a mere 10 minute walk from Alnmouth Station on the main East Coast line. We have two parking spaces and guests can use our garage to store bikes, golf cubs etc if they need to. Guests are also welcome to bring up to 2 well behaved dogs at a small additional cost of £25/per stay, per dog. We are available on phone or email and there is 24 hour local support as well in case of an emergency. The house is very close to a number of beaches and wonderful coastal and country walks. There are numerous golf courses within short driving distance including the oldest public 9 hole links golf course in the country. The village of Alnmouth has numerous family and dog friendly art galleries, cafes and restaurants. For water sport enthusiasts, the village of Amble provides access to canoeing, dinghy sailing, paddle boarding etc. We are in the heart of the village and near the local train station and bus stops. Train Station (main east coast line)- 10 minute walk We are an hour on the train from Edinburgh, 20 minutes to Newcastle and 3.5 hours from London. We are close to a number of costal and country walks including the St. Oswald's Way that extends from the Roman wall to the Holy Island. Configuration of beds - please inform us of the required bed configuration. Two of the guest beds are not always made up (we usually cater to 6 but 2 additional beds can be made available) and this will be arranged if requested at the time of the booking. There is an additional £15/night charge for guests after 6.
