Seglbúðir - Room 1 in Villa by the River Bank

The exclusive villa is located near a riverbank at Seglbúðir, with a beautiful view of the landscape and river Grenlækur. In total are 4 twin bedrooms ,all rooms are the identical and well soundproof. Including 4 double bedrooms each incl. private bathroom. All rooms are the same and well soundproof. By the villa is a sauna house and a jacuzzi. It's a wooden house which gives it a cozy vibe. At the same time it is very spacious, modern and luxurious. All in all, the house has a high standard in accordance with the needs of our guests! It is beautifully located within the landscape and perfectly designed for the ultimate experience of Seglbúðir’s magnificent scenery. The facility was built as a fishing retreat so if your clothes get soaked in the rain they will dry off very quickly in the drying room. Take a walk in the sacred solitude, dip your toes in the river and end the day in the sauna and jacuzzi with an iced drink. From the living area there is direct access to the terrace, where, if you are lucky, you can watch the aurora borealis dance in the skies during the evening and night. That is of course if you arrive during winter. During the summer you will most likely see at least one sheep, shy yet curious, strolling around with her two lambs. We are at Seglbúðir, 10 km from Kirkjubæjarklaustur by road 204. Check in is at our home, a white house on two floors. Take the road from the "Seglbúðir" sign on road 204 and take a left at the postbox marked "Reception" We will guide you to the lodge from there. We do not serve breakfast nor dinner. If you're up for cooking we sell lamb directly from us, just let us know at least one day before so we can prepare it. The next supermarket is at Kirkjubæjarklaustur, 10 km away from us. We recommend the restaurant at Icelandair Hotel Klaustur at Kirkjubæjarklaustur, we especially recommend their lamb which is prepared at our slaughterhouse here in Seglbúðir. It offers both breakfast and dinner.
