All three gites have a comfortable rustic feel with all the mod cons that you would expect in a holiday home. Some of the original oak has been used in the tasteful decor to create a minimalistic style. Matisse provides a spacious lounge and dining area complete with comfortable linen sofas and dining. There is a wireless bluetooth speaker systems to enable you to listen to your favourite music, flat screen smart TVs and free view satellite plus DVD players. DVD's are available on request at no extra charge. Independent wi-fi in each gite. The light and airy kitchens are fully equipped (with matching china & glass!) to allow you to get creative in the kitchen, from traditional French cuisine or simple sandwiches and salads. We have installed a dishwasher (Matisse & Renoir) washing machine, full size gas cooker, a fridge-freezer (to keep the white wine & beers cool) a microwave and a modern Tassimo coffee maker for fresh coffee in the morning (english tea supplied too!) The master bedroom has a king size bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers & is tastefully decorated with traditional exposed beams. A hair dryer is provided. The spacious twin bedroom has views over the rear garden as does the third bedroom which has adult-size bunks. A walk-in power shower, tasteful fixtures, fittings and lovely soft bath towels complete the experience. The French doors lead directly to your own private patio area with seating for 6 where you can dine and BBQ alfresco. The 14m x 6m salt water swimming pool is just down the path and there are sun loungers & umbrellas placed around the pool for your use. The pool is cleaned every day, there is a security gate fitted and the fencing meets French legislation. La Maison Grange is equidistant between Bordeaux and Cognac making this the perfect gite choice to leisurely explore the world famous Cognac and wine regions that are right on the doorstep. Whether you are with a group of friends or with the family there is something for all ages to enjoy. Heading 30 minutes south is the famous wine region of Pomerol. A little further and you'll find in St. Emilion, the Libournais appellations, or Cotes-de-Bourg. Less than 60 minutes and you'll be in the centre of Bordeaux. This beautiful city contains all the high street names along with the more exclusive designers but is also full of interesting architecture and history.
