Liberty House was built in the early 1900s, in the charming Adirondack historic village of Westport, NY, which is situated on Lake Champlain and within the Adirondack Park. It was built with solid wood details, charm, and lots of room to relax. The house is a perfect jumping-off point for adventures on Lake Champlain, the Adirondack Mountains in NY, or across the lake, in the Green Mountains in VT. The entire 4000 square foot house is available, on Airbnb, for groups or families looking to explore Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks with a superior 'base camp'. On the first floor, the house has a full eat-in kitchen, dining room, living room, and a game/TV room with a full bathroom. The second floor has 4 bedrooms: 1 with an ensuite bathroom, three bedrooms, and a shared full bathroom. All bedrooms have queen beds. The third floor is currently locked (via original skeleton key) and is not open for use in the height of summer, as it gets too hot for comfortable sleeping. However, there are three additional bedrooms, an office space, and a bonus room. There is no bathroom on the third floor. Contact Host to inquire about the use of the third floor and additional pricing. (only recommended for spring and fall, or cool summer nights.) Enjoy outdoor entertaining on the back deck equipped with a table/chairs and gas grill. Or, sit on the front porch and observe the peace in this little slice of Adirondack heaven called Westport. Lake access for swimming and water sports is via an easy stroll through Ballard Park across the street. This house is perfectly situated to explore the lake, the Adirondacks, and VT. Guests have full access of the entire house, patios and outdoor space. We have another home in Westport, where we live. We can be available for any questions. We are typically in town each weekend and often during the week. Chances are, that we will be out enjoying the water. Situated at Liberty St. and Main St, the house is one block from the golf course, coffee shops, cafe, restaurants, marina, Ballard Park (with beach and lake access). There are great trails to explore the Adirondacks very close by and the house allows for easy access to NY, VT and Canada. Westport can be reached via car or Amtrak train service from Montreal and NYC.
