A haven for wildlife, Cumbrae attracts migrant birds from around the world and the flora of the island is equally varied, with a visit to the island’s Marine Research Station with museum and aquarium a must. Millport is also the home of Europe’s smallest cathedral and Britain’s narrowest house. An ideal location for cycling, walking and golf, along with a variety of water-based activities. The centre of the town has Garrison House, which houses the Museum of the Cumbraes.
