The guesthouse was a family home that has been thoroughly refurbished, modernized and converted to a guesthouse. Shared kitchen for our guests to use. Private access to your own room. Hólmavík is just outside the main road nr. 61 on your way to explore the Westfjords. It is only about 25 min drive to Drangsnes where you can have a nice bath in the hot tubs by the ocean! A drive up to Strandir in the summer time to visit Djúpavík and Krossneslaug is worth the drive with its amazing scenery and quietness! The Icelandic Sorcery & Witchcraft museum is just around the corner and there you can also have some delicious sea food :) We recommend that you arrive with a rental car as the public transportation in this area is not the best. Drive on road 61 until you reach our town of Hólmavík. NOTE: The rooms are all on 2nd floor and there is a narrow stair to get up to it, it does not suit well elderly people that have problems with walking and please watch out for the children.
