There are very few properties in Cornwall as private as this, yet so close to the sea. The coast path actually meanders around the back of the house and there is a shingle beach 5m in front of the property. The Mill itself has been beautifully restored, with amazing attention to detail, and tastefully decorated and furnished while maximising character features. Imagine watching the sun rise over the sea while sipping a morning cup of tea or coffee followed by a refreshing dip in the crystal waters. The property is perfect for adults looking for a quiet retreat, a spot of cold water swimming or a walking holiday. Porthpean Beach is just to the north and is sandy, safe and sheltered with rock pools at the south western extremity while at the opposite end the cliffs are mainly populated by nesting birds. There is an 18 hole golf course just above it on the cliff top. The Eden Project is just to the east of St Austell, the Lost Gardens of Heligan a short drive to the south west, the picturesque Roseland Peninsula with its quaint fishing villages is within half an hour's drive and Newquay's vibrant surfing lifestyle and golden beaches are a similar distance to the north. Accommodation Ground Floor: Entrance into small utility room with doors to: Downstairs WC with handbasin. Open plan kitchen / dining room with fully fitted units and table and chairs, back door to rear patio, opening into double aspect lounge with stunning sea views, wood burning stove in stone fireplace, comfortable sofas and TV. Stairs from kitchen area lead to: First Floor: Landing with doors to: Master double bedroom with spectacular sea views, 5' double bed and storage, further door to en suite shower room with WC and hand basin. Second bedroom with twin 3' single beds and storage. Family bathroom with shower over bath, WC and hand basin. Exterior: Table and chairs, sun loungers and a barbecue on the front terrace which has a path that leads onto the beach (5m). The coastal footpath extends around the back of the property. Parking on the drive for 2 cars. Facilities & Services Heating is via oil central heating. The kitchen has fully fitted units, electric oven & gas hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge / freezer & washing machine and tumble dryer. The lounge has a flat screen TV & DVD player with Freesat and the ability to play cds. WiFi is available at the property, but due to location can be slow at times - not suitable for streaming. Miscellaneous Electricity, heating, bed linen and towels are all included; please bring your own beach towels. The council road into Trenarren village is relatively narrow, and should be taken with care. Parking is on the private drive alongside the property. Unfortunately, no dogs are permitted at Hallane Mill. No smoking. Babes in arms (not crawling) and children over 10 only are welcome at the Mill. There is a travel cot available on request. There is public access to the beach but no other houses or vehicular access nearby so it is unlikely to be overrun. . Please note supermarkets will not deliver to Hallane Mill. Lobbs Farm shop can deliver if ordered in advance. General Booking Information Arrival / Departure is a Friday. £250 security deposit is required to be pre-authorised on your card.
