Private beach and jacuzzi in Stockholm archipelago
Beach-front house in the center of Stockholm's archipelago with magnificent sea views. The property size and location gives a level of privacy almost like a private island, but with regular ferry access daily! The house was finished in 2008, so all facilities are modern. Highlights include outdoor jacuzzi, fireplace, BBQ, annex house on the beach and real WC – a luxury on these islands. Private jetty with spacious lounge furniture offers relaxing days by the water when weather allows. Bedroom 1 is a separate bedroom with walk-in closet, while bedroom 2 is connected to the living room, separated by drapes. Bedroom 3 is a stand-alone house directly on the beach. Additional beds might be possible to arrange on request. NB: Bedroom 3 is only available during May-September. Since the house is built on a cliff and the island has rather rough terrain, we do not recommend renting this house if anyone in the group has a physical impairment. It is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible. Don't hesitate to get in touch if there are any questions or special requests. We will be happy to help if we can. We will meet you up on arrival and show you the premises and amenities. Therefore we prefer bookings from Sunday-Sunday, so that we have a chance to plan for new guest arrivals. We are personally available on the phone (day-time for general requests and 24/7 for emergencies). Usually we are staying elsewhere on the same island, but if not we have lots of helpful neighbours in case you need some special assistance. A cosy island letting you escape from the busy city life. No cars, restaurants or shops, means you need to plan your logistics a bit. Luckily the infrastructure in this area of the archipelago is great. Sweden's leading on-line grocery store ( (Website hidden by Airbnb) delivers groceries by boat directly to your private pier during high season. Delivery cost has been around $35 and you need to order before 1 pm the day prior to delivery. The closest sea-side restaurants are 5-10 mins away at Linanäs and Grinda if you have your own boat or want to take a taxi boat trip. Obviously there is a lot more to discover in the archipelago if you're curious and we will be glad to assist. Ferries go directly to/from Grand Hotel (Kungsträdgården, downtown Stockholm) a few times a day for about $10 one-way. Tickets are bought on-board (see (Website hidden by Airbnb) and it's a delightful journey with food and drinks available from the boat restaurant. Direct routes take about 1h and 20 mins, but sometimes you need to change boats in Vaxholm, which is the closest town to the island. Very cute and well worth a visit anyway. Vaxholm is about 20 mins from the island with the same boats. Bedroom 3 and the jetty lounge furniture is only available during May-Sept. Off-season we need to use that room as storage for the outdoor furniture in order to keep it in good shape for the summer months.
