If you want to get away from the big city's noise and instead spend the night among the forests of the biosphere reserve of the East Vättern Scarp Landscape, you've found the right place. Here you can identify each sound and wake up by birdsong or rooster. Our farm is for those who long for nature and want to get closer to our place in the ecosystem. You can book a organic breakfast for 80 kr with food from the garden's pantry and fresh eggs from the hens. Hikers can get a hot meal for 100 kr. The Mykinge Experimentel Station was foundet by the Swedish Match Company in 1941 for research and propaganda about aspen hybrids. The houses are from 1951. We (Robin, Petra and Mohammad) live in the huge house of the former manager of the station with our “boss”, the cat Sigge. We try to keep the former station in a good shape and createt a little museum about the stations history. Now we even are surrounded by goats, rabbits and hens. We are growing organic vegetables, we make biochar and we are trying to enhance biodiversity around us. We can give a guided tour about the history of our place and show you our way of living. (Website hidden by Airbnb) There is a bus stop 2 km from the house that can take you to the surrounding cities (Jönköping and Gränna are both 20 minutes by bus). We also have several bicycles you can use. Walking around our forests and neighborhood is also a lovely option. Organic, farm-fresh breakfast is available for 80 kr per person (40 kr for children). Vegetarian dinner is available upon request for 100 kr person.
