ACSTA winner 2019 best self catering accommodation. Thistle award finalist 2020. Award of Excellence - "Cottage Accommodation of the Year 2017 ", Living in the Shires Magazine. My place is located directly on the seashore with spectacular views and is walking distance to the village convenience store. It has a large, secure, shorefront garden, great for families with kids, solo adventurers and business travelers. It can sleep 4 people but ideally suited for couples. Quiet and peaceful. Pew with a view is 5 meters from the seashore and has fabulous views of the sea through floor to ceiling windows. This location is renowned for Aurora borealis and meteor showers and is peaceful and quiet. The cottage is a small fishermans cottage and ideally suited for 2 people , but it can sleep 4 in 1 double bed and 1 sofa bed. If traveling with lots of luggage you can store cases in the boathouse below. There is a secure shore front garden with a wooden decking area. The patio furniture is located beneath it , which provides a spectacular location to relax and enjoy the view from the outside. A fire pit is also available should you wish to spend the night outside to enjoy the meteor showers or simply enjoy a glass of wine and breathe in the sea air. A small fridge freezer is located in the cottage and an additional large fridge feeezer is located in the boathouse along with a dryer, washer and ironing facilities. If you are coming with sports equipment, the boathouse is the perfect location to store it for easy and quick access. Pitullie is a small hamlet dating back to the 1400's, 2 miles from Fraserburgh. It's a quiet and beautiful location to relax, yet still within a easy commute to Fraserburgh town center. There are several local artists who live in the village and private craft workshops can be organized on request. There is a small convenience store with a post office about 5 minutes walk from the cottage in sandhaven. Great for last minute groceries or bottle of wine if you don't wish to travel into town. Pew with a view has a bus stop a few meters away which goes into Fraserburgh or Rosehearty. They run every 30 minutes, however, there is a coastal path to both places and it's about a 30 minute walk, either way, directly along the shoreline. Great for bike rides! Imagine a cottage getaway, literally five metres from the shore in North-East Scotland, with the lights of the Aurora Borealis and the glorious local countryside inviting you to sit back and let the stresses of life melt away. That’s the feeling you get when staying at Pew with a View. It’s the proud recipient of our Award of Excellence for cottage accommodation of the year in Pitullie, Fraserburgh. From December 2017, there will also be a self-contained ecopod available for booking, ‘Door to the Shore’. A mother-daughter venture, the building’s history dates back to the 1600s, and the 600 million-year-old local rocks were used to build the cottage. It suits everyone from couples and families looking for cosy getaways, watching the waves through the floor to ceiling windows, or those eager to explore the local surroundings. Golfing enthusiasts, hillwalkers and watersports lovers will be well served here. The waters are particularly well suited to beginner divers and nature lovers. See if you can spot everything from seals and dolphins to orcas and Minke whales! “The sea is our back garden,” says mother Isobel. Daughter Sue has a keen interest in genealogy, while Isobel makes art and jewellery using locally-sourced materials. They can offer hands-on experiences for all skill levels, should guests be inspired by the beautiful surroundings and want to get involved.
