Peaceful area adjacent to ancient woodland.

I know my home to be peaceful and calm. The ancient woodland on the doorstep offers a wonderful retreat from the urban environment. To have this peace and yet be 5 minutes away from the centre of town is a real treat. I think the quality of experience lies with the peace that surrounds us. My house is detached dorma style with one double room to let. It is downstairs with an adjacent bathroom and toilet and upstairs you have the use of a shower and toilet. The house is large and airy with a lovely garden that looks out onto woodlands. It is generally a space for women guests who can be in a couple but no lone men . Sorry. The visitor will have use of the large comfortable living room and the friendly rustic kitchen. I do not rent the space for long term guests. 1 to 4 day visits are best for me. Whilst staying , you will be provided with a comfortable bed with clean cotton bed linen. Towels will be provided. Apart from being a comfortable family home it sits next to some ancient woodlands which are truly magical. We are situated in a cul-de-sac which is very peaceful. We have a wood burner that keeps us warm in the winter and creates a homely feel to our space, as well as gas central heating. We have wi-fi connection. The town centre is a mile away with a good bus route and a renowned, black cab, taxi service in Corby.The town has a fabulous train station with direct routes to London only one hour away. I love living here because of the light that comes into the house, and the wonderful forest on my doorstep. You can be in the woods in one minute as there is access to this natural beauty only ten yards away. I think it's a beautiful spot, quiet and within easy reach to the town. There is a lovely 15 century Pub ten minutes walk away it provides pub grub style food which is good and has a friendly atmosphere. Corby is a fascinating post industrial town in the middle of rural England with beauty right on our door step. We are a friendly and lively population of around 55 thousand with a new and vibrant incoming community of Eastern European, African and Portuguese people . you are welcome to use kitchen facilities and have use of the living room with TV I offer a warm welcome and try to help wth any enquiries a guest may have on where to eat , local walks, places to visit etc. this is a quiet cul-de-sac with beautiful ancient woodlands right next to us. It's calm and restful Room for parking in the drive next to the house. There is a bus service to Town five minutes away. Main line railway station , one hour by train to London, the station is 3 miles form here.
