Gundis Guestroom (b)

Newly renovated, bright and spacious room (23 square meters) in quiet and green neighbourhood. The room with a view to the garden and hardwood floor is furnished with a round bed and other pieces from the Fifties ans Sixties. Our guests have their own bathroom and kitchen with dining table and couch. Short walking distance to the main train station. 10 minutes Ride by bus or bicycle to the city centre. Free Roadside Parking in front of the house is always available. The very comfortable round double bed (1,80m x 1,90m) has brand new mattresses and fluffy duvets. There is also the possibility of accommodating a third adult on the sofa bed (can sleep 2 Children). Bedding, towels, tea, coffee and basic cooking ingredients provided. A nice and secluded gardenbench invites you to have your morning-coffee or evening-beer outside under the old magnolia tree. We have two rooms on the ground floor to let. If both rooms are occupied, the guests share the spacious bathroom and kitchen. We live upstairs and use the same entrance and hall. So guests have their own space and privacy, but we might meet once in a while. Our House was built in the 1930s and is sourrounded by similar Houses and Gardens. While the house is charming, it's not pristine. There are dents and scrapes. We're slowly restoring it but don't expect perfection. If you have an old house, you'll understand. Kitchen and bathroom are shared between two AirBnB rooms. We live upstairs and share entrance and hallway. There is a TV in the room, Wi-Fi of course and books and magazines as well. You'll find informations about current events and activities and some maps of Bamberg in the kitchen. We work part time and are usually available during the afternoon and evening. Just text or phone. We enjoy getting to know our guests but also want you to have your peace and quiet. So we try to hit that perfect balance. Bakery and Butchery are just around the corner. In short walking distance you will find some nice Pubs, Supermarket, ice cream parlour and restaurants like a mexican taco bar (our favorite). To experience Bamberg to the fullest, you can always borough a bicycle from us. We've got quite a few of them, so you can ride in style. There are bus-stations in short walking distance. You can easily walk down-town in twenty minutes. We love the style of the Fifties and Sixties, which shows all around the House.
