The Chocolate Retreat The Chocolate Retreat is a stylish private 1 bed apartment which sleeps up to 4 people. Located within the creative & friendly Bournville area of South Birmingham. It has excellent modern facilities great public transport links to the city centre with Cadbury World only a 2 minute stroll away; on a good day you can smell the chocolate ! The Chocolate Retreat is an open plan living area filled with natural light and 12 foot ceilings. The spacious open plan layout ensures the living room flows beautifully into the kitchen and dining areas. The Chocolate Retreat is part of 79 residential apartments situated on the second floor with lift access. We welcome single travellers, couples and families (max 4). There is a comfy double bed in the bedroom and also a double sofa bed in the lounge. All the facilities and amenities you will need for your stay are provided in the apartment – your own fully equipped kitchen, kettle, toaster, dish Washer, washing machine, towels. bedding, iron, ironing board are all provided. a TV is installed in the living area and the bedroom both with DVD players. Wi-Fi available We would like you to feel as at home as possible. If there is something that you need please let us know and we will try and locate it for you. Any questions are encouraged and welcomed. STRICTLY NO SMOKING OR ANIMALS IN THE APARTMENT. We aim to be there on your arrival and departure and will always be on hand by phone to answer any questions or help with any advice you may need. Bournville has plenty of green spaces, historic buildings and independent village shops to delight in. Conveniently located close to cosmopolitan Birmingham, Bournville is a historic, leafy and idyllic oasis to stay Local attractions include - Cadbury World, - 2 local micro-Breweries, LOAF- independent bakery & cookery school, P Café - independent coffee, art & cake shop, The British Oak - traditional pub with beer garden and comedy nights, antique & vintage shops, Stirchley Happenings -The Country Girl Pub - local market & film night events, a variety of restaurants, local parks, canal-side & river walks, Birmingham University, QE hospital, Birmingham Nature centre, Edgbaston cricket ground, The Botanical Gardens, MAC, Kings Heath, Moseley and City centre, Cadbury World Warwick Castle National Sea life centre Cannon Hill Park Birmingham Hippodrome Crescent Theatre Alexandra Theatre Access via local transport to Birmingham Airport and Resorts World are also nearby Bournville train station is just 1 min walk away with regular direct trains to and from Birmingham city centre (New Street St, 10 min), Birmingham University (6 min) and QE Hospital (7 min). Local bus routes travel regularly to the City centre and Kings Heath (10 min direct). Nearby on the road parking is free! You can park directly outside the apartment from 4.30pm to 8.30am and all day on Sundays Birmingham has a number of motorways giving easy access to Bournville and Cadbury World from the M5 (brown signposts from Junctions 2 & 4) and M42 (due North from Junction 2) following the brown signs, straight ahead for 6 miles to Bournville. Visitors are NOT recommended to come through Birmingham city centre on the A38(M) from M6 Junction 6. From the North West (M6 southbound) or mid-Wales (M54 eastbound) At M6 Junction 8, take the M5 to Junction 2 and follow brown signs for 6 miles through to Cadbury World. From the South West (M5) and South Wales (M50) Leave M5 at Junction 4 (A38) and follow brown signs 7 miles through to Cadbury World. From the South (A34 and M40), London and the South-east (M40) After Junction 16 of M40, continue in middle lane on to M42, signposted towards M5/Redditch. Leave M42 at Junction 2, (please avoid leaving the M42 at Junction 3 as this is a less straightforward route using narrow country lanes) cross over motorway and continue straight ahead for 6 miles to Bournville and Cadbury World. When you follow the signs to Bournville, look out for the brown signs to Cadbury World. From the North-east and Yorkshire (M1 southbound) Join A42/M42 at M1 Junction 23A and follow M42 right the way round the south-western corner of Birmingham to leave motorway at Junction 2 (please avoid leaving the M42 at Junction 3 as this is a less straightforward route using narrow country lanes) . Cross over motorway and continue straight ahead for 6 miles to Bournville and Cadbury World. There is some brown signage to Cadbury World from this direction. From the East of England (e.g A14 or M6/M1 northbound from home counties) Leave M6 northbound at junction 4, to go on M42 southbound, exit at Junction 2 of M42 (please avoid leaving the M42 at Junction 3 as this is a less straightforward route using narrow country lanes).
