PLEASE NOTE THESE MAY BE DIFFERENT TO ONES SENT TO YOU, PLEASE READ BEFORE USE:- It does take about 28 mins to fill (we now leave it empty as guest feedback is that they like to fill it themselves, to see the freshwater going in) it takes about 2/3 hours to heat in really cold winter months and longer if you don’t do it properly. During warmer months it can be half this time. What catches people out is that they think it only takes a few logs and they can leave it to its own accord. The desired temperature is 38/40 degrees. There is a gauge inside the tub. There is a hose pipe to the side of Digbys, on the barn wall, this can be used to add cool water if it is too hot. Alternatively you can turn the blue filling tap to add more cold water. 1 Filling the hot tub: There are 2 blue taps located to the right hand side of the hot tub, set (Website hidden by Airbnb) slightly back. Empty Tap - Please make sure this is fully turned clockwise before you start (Website hidden by Airbnb) filling. Otherwise, as you are filling it, it will empty at the same (Website hidden by Airbnb) time. This is located nearest the hot tub. Filling Tap (Website hidden by Airbnb) This blue tap has a small red button and is located nearest the (Website hidden by Airbnb) wooden barn. 2 Place a couple of firelighters on the grid of the log burner. (Website hidden by Airbnb) Place kindling in a Jenga style around the firelighters. Light the (Website hidden by Airbnb) firelighters 3 When the kindling is nicely burning, place a couple of logs in the stove. It is (Website hidden by Airbnb) best to not put them directly on top of the kindling but at a slight angle to (Website hidden by Airbnb) allow the fire to breathe. Close the door and make sure the vent is (the (Website hidden by Airbnb) slider) is open (push to the right). Please use the glove provided, AS THE (Website hidden by Airbnb) SLIDER CAN GET VERY HOT!!. Give this 5/10 mins before adding you (Website hidden by Airbnb) other logs. 4 You need to stir it with the wooden paddle every 15/20 mins. The fire (Website hidden by Airbnb) needs to be kept alight with logs and it will take a whole tub of logs per (Website hidden by Airbnb) night. The vent on the fire should be kept open (the slider) to get the (Website hidden by Airbnb) oxygen into the fire. When the water is to your desired temperature, the (Website hidden by Airbnb) slider can be closed a little. Please use the glove to do this. If the water gets too hot, please use the hosepipe (located on the end of the barn) to add some cool water or if you need to top the water level up. Alternatively please use the blue filling tap to add more water. We have had to buy a new stove costing over £1000.00 as a previous guest has tried to light the fire before the hot tub had been filled fully with water. The water has to cover both pipe holes (it is evident when you look inside the hot tub). This caused holes in the stove and water to leak putting the fire out. We are just asking that the fire is not lit until the tub is full, thank you. PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT THAT THE STOVE CATCH IS ON AT ALL TIMES AND ESPECIALLY BEFORE RETIRING TO BED (Website hidden by Airbnb) BEFORE GOING TO BED AFTER YOUR LAST NIGHT'S USAGE, PLEASE MAY YOU TURN THE “EMPTY” BLUE TAP TO EMPTY THE TUB. Thanks Penny
