Ajstrup Oasis - Honeysuckle bedroom

Pleasant and cosy thatched cottage, just up the road from the lovely Ajstrup Strand beach. You are welcome to share the old style (but well equipped) kitchen, the bathroom and dine and watch TV in the living room. The house is furnished in 1950's style, but has all modern facilities. There is a small forest next to the house with a little stream, where you may go for a stroll, and there is an abundance of wildlife around the property. The beach is only a short walk down the hill, and a small shop at the camping site is less than 1 km away. You have your bedroom for your self, and share the kitchen, bathroom and lounge. I am a social person and I am happy to give you advice about things in the area or generally about Denmark and living here. However I respect your privacy, and you are welcome to enjoy your own space on your own. I chose this area because of the beauty of the rolling hills coming down to meet the sea, and the lovely view across the bay. There is a forest (mainly beech trees) from here right in to town, and you can choose to drive in to Aarhus through the forest, which is a very scenic route. Moesgaard prehistoric and Viking museum 'MOMU' is very close to the house just a few minutes away by bike or car. There is regular bus service (no. 302) that stops just 100m from the house, and I have some pushbikes I can lend out. Otherwise, most people drive into Aarhus by car, which takes about 20 mins to the city centre. There are a number of supermarkets locally, open from early morning until 8, 9 or 10 pm most days. Dispensing chemists are available in both Beder and Malling (the two closest villages 4 km away). Beder has a baker's shop and a Nordea bank too. In Malling there is a lovely little cinema (probably Denmark's smallest) that has a number of films showing.
