In the classic and elegantly furnished apartment Zur Alten Försterei you will find the theme of the count's hunting in the Schlitzerland. Elaborately restored pieces of furniture, such as a walnut bureau, really stand out in the 3.5-meter-high rooms. A spacious daylight bathroom has a window front with direct views of the church square and the back tower. The kitchen is equipped with the following technical appliances: dishwasher, fridge, freezer, cooker (ceramic hob) oven, extractor hood, coffee machine, Nespresso machine, toaster, kettle and hand mixer. A basic set of spices, tea, coffee, sugar, coffee cream, coffee filters, cleaning products, household roll, tea towels, etc. is available. A bright dining area with three seats is also in the room. The living room has a comfortable sofa, an armchair, a desk and satellite TV and stereo system. The daylight bathroom is equipped with hand basin, mirror, shower, toilet and a towel radiator, as well as storage space and hair dryer. Consumables such as soap, toilet paper are available, as well as towels and floor mats. The bedroom has a double bed (180 cm x 200 cm), two bedside tables with lamps and an old, antique wardrobe with mirror. Your dog is welcome in our house! In the apartment Zur Alten Försterei can be brought a maximum of 1 dog (fee, 10 EUR / night). This must be registered with us before arrival. You are liable for your dog and we ask for a careful and considerate use of the equipment. On arrival, you will find freshly made beds, flowers, a cute little thing and a water bottle. The Hinterburg with back tower is centrally located in the center of Schlitz and has a significant share of the Schlitzer city silhouette. The Hinterburg is one of the five Schlitzer castles, which are integrated into the city wall, forming the medieval city fortifications. The in the 15th Built in the 18th century, the Gräfliche Forstmeisterhaus, as one of the two residential buildings of the castle, offers three beautiful apartments in a stately atmosphere. A lovingly landscaped garden invites you to linger, car parking spaces and a garaging for bicycles are available. The castle town of Schlitz in Schlitzerland is nestled between the low mountain ranges Vogelsberg, Rhön and Knüll. In addition to long walks, well-developed cycle paths, a swimming pool, the Pfordter See, city tours and a ride on the back tower offer a varied program. The back tower turns into the biggest candle in the world at Christmas time. The Schlitzer Christmas Market can be found on the historic market square, surrounded by beautiful half-timbered houses, a few meters from the Count's Forstmeisterhaus. The Landesmusikakademie Hessen is also located in Schlitz, which remains Europe's oldest distillery - the Schlitzer distillery. The Landesmusikakademie Hessen with its diverse event and cultural program can be reached within a 5-minute walk. The Schlitzer distillery is located only a few hundred meters from the castle Hinterburg. The Vulkanradweg - a highlight for cyclists and inline skaters - starts right in Schlitz. The Fulda cycle path R1 also runs past Schlitz and connects the cycling destinations Bad Hersfeld and Fulda. The nearest major cities are Lauterbach and Fulda, here you will find a variety of other recreational opportunities. Key collection takes place on site. Your entrance & apartment key is deposited in a key vault. You will receive the code shortly before your arrival. The holiday apartments can be obtained from 2 pm. Check-out is until 11 o'clock. If you would rather check in or stay longer in the apartment, please contact us in advance. We will gladly try to make this possible for you. Exclusive parking is available directly in front of our house. For each of our apartments a private parking space is reserved and signposted. If you need more than one parking space, please contact us in advance. We will gladly coordinate another parking space for you free of charge.  Our house is equipped with a lift. So you can easily reach the apartments. Wi-Fi is available for free throughout the house. You will receive the access code a few days before your arrival. Please note that smoking is prohibited throughout the property. If you want to smoke outside, please use the ashtrays provided. Your dog is welcome in our house! In the apartment "Zur Alten F��rsterei" and "Countess Anna" can be brought a maximum of 1 dog (fee, 10 EUR / night). This must be registered with us before arrival. You are liable for your dog and we ask for a careful and considerate use of the equipment. Washer and dryer are available for free for shared use. There is also a barbecue that can be used for free for shared use. If you are traveling with a toddler and need a cot and high chair, please contact us in advance.
