Cedar Crest Inn & Hostel Is now open for fully vaccinated persons with proof. We located just 10 miles from Albuquerque city limits and 45 miles south of Santa Fe on the historic Turquoise Trail, full of rich cultural experiences. The Hostel has dormitory facilities for men and women, a fully equipped kitchen and lounge downstairs. If traveling alone, come & enjoy connection time with other guests! *Masks are required indoors at all times* Come and enjoy some fresh mountain air with us! You are renting a lower bunk bed in the male dorm. It is a shared dorm room with a shared bathroom. This 1960's style split level duplex home has been remodeled to create a home hostel downstairs and also a Inn upstairs. Many features that save energy and are green have been incorporated into this Hostel, to create a more energy- efficient building. Come and learn more about green living, and have easy access via the historic Turquoise Trail to both Santa Fe and Albuquerque! We have 2 dorm rooms, one for men and one for women, with a hallway bunk bed for snorers. Generally children under age six can be with a parent in either dorm, but after that should be in the dorm of their own sex. These are not coed dorms unless a group has rented the whole hostel and then they can decide how to use the available rooms and beds. **Families are encouraged to rent a Inn room upstairs, so you can all be together in your own space. The basic requirements for being a good hosteler are : 1) Be currently well, unexposed in past 14 days and fully vaccinated for covid-19 and other contagious illnesses and willing to wear a mask at all times indoors as well as clean up & sanitize after yourself in common areas. 2) An ability to get along and cooperate with others staying in the hostel. 3) Be considerate of other guests/staff by keeping the place clean/sanitary and not creating chaos, messes, or noise others have to deal with. Hostel guests have access to the hostel kitchen, living room, shared bath, their shared dorm, laundry & storage facilities and the outside areas of the hostel. * Pets allowed outside only, with prior approval. Please call or write us prior to booking to arrange a pet stay. We are located 3.5 miles north of I-40 at exit 175 right on the mountain or west side of Highway 14. Its a short walk from the Hostel to get into Cibola National Forest, going up our road. We have ample off street parking on our property for multiple vehicles and bicycles, with storage for bikes in a shed. There are multiple restaurants, a grocery store and other businesses within walking distance of the Hostel. Hostel manager on site. Walking Distance to restaurants, grocery and CIbola National Forest. Car or other personable transportation needed, no public transportation available. ** Please contact us first before booking to approve pets. No pets allowed inside the hostel!** **Please read and agree to our additional rules located under "Things to Know" and "show more" at the bottom of this listing.** **We are practicing Covid-19 safety, so we ask that you not come if you are ill or have been exposed to someone who is ill and are quarantining during the past 14 days. All visitors must be fully vaccinated with proof of such (Except someone who cannot like children). Initial screening, mask wearing in all indoor common spaces, social distancing and extra cleaning are being used to provide a safer environment according to NM Public Health guidelines for shared lodging. We prefer guests who are fully vaccinated (proof required) as this is a shared space. Please call or write us if you have special needs or questions and we will try to accommodate you to the best of our ability! ** **Other Information: Please read the rules section for all of our rules for hostelers. The Hostel is located on the lower floor of a split level home. The upper floor houses the Inn and this whole area is off limit to Hostel guests, unless the Inn areas are also being rented. The walls are thin, so sound can travel if there is loud noises. We ask all to please be respectful of other guests so all can have a comfortable stay here. Additionally, Hostel guests get a cheap price in exchange for being asked to do a chore towards clean up each day, and to strip your beds and put your linens in laundry area when you leave. There is no daily cleaning service except what is completed by guests, unless otherwise arranged. Cleaning fees are for a deeper cleaning done after guests leave to prepare the hostel for the next guests as well as the cost of laundry and other supplies. **In the winter, we often get heavy snowstorms, making travel harder. We make every effort to clear the parking area as soon as possible so guests can come and go as needed. Highway 14 is usually kept open during storms. Please call ahead to check on conditions if storms are predicted for the area. We look forward to hosting you soon!
