Walk The Roaches visit Chatsworth House and gardens, see a show at The Buxton Opera House, try the famous Bakewell Pudding, shop at Leeks antique centres or enjoy the rides at Alton Towers we have lots of attractions nearby! Perfect for couples looking to unwind, unfortunately we are not suitable for babies or animals. I follow Airbnb’s enhanced cleaning protocol, which was developed with expert guidance. Two cats to chat to lots of wildlife including deer ( if you are lucky!), curlew and hares in the garden. The accommodation is self contained but we are on hand to help if you need us. We are on site most of the time. The Peak District is an amazing national park including Chatsworth's world famous stately home, gardens and grounds, Buxton with spring waters and opera house, Bakewell with its famous pudding and the market town of Leek with many antique shops. Many renowned walks and climbs including the Roaches with stunning views or Lathkill Dale in the white peak. Monsall and Tissington trails are great off road tracks for cycling and walking and some trails are horse friendly. Alton Towers is nearby for the more adventurous and there are numerous farms and wildlife parks. Manchester airport is 1 hour by car or get the bus or train to Buxton from Manchester. Buxton train station is 10 minutes away by private car/taxi. Parking is private and is directly outside the accommodation. We are a farm off the beaten track, which we think is the beauty of the place. but means our internet is not the fastest and the phone signal is patchy. If you don't have your own transport please note that the nearest train station is in Buxton and we recommend Jam Taxis, the cost is around £20 one way. We can sometimes provide lifts if we are available for half this cost.
