Welcome to our beautiful beachfront property in situated in Akoli(5km from Egio),located in the centre of a traditional and beautiful seaside village with a marvelous beach with translucent turquoise clear deep waters and fine gravel. In our huge outside area of the property surrounded by plenty of trees and flowers to walk around you can have picnic or take your breakfast in the beautiful and relaxing outdoor lounge area! Our two homes have been built with great care, using selected materials and traditional techniques. Both homes are comprised by spacious indoor and outdoor facilities enabling at the same time a high level of privacy! Daphne house is one of the 4 houses in the property! It accommodates 6 persons plus another 2 in the double sofa bed of the living room. It has 2 bathrooms. All bedrooms have garden view and the living room has a large door with instant access to our spacious outside area. The house has its own large outside area with two outdoor lounge and dining areas(one in front of the kitchen and the other in a cozy space with an arbor for sunshade as also a small BBQ. The large kitchen of the house is situated between the two lounge areas and can be used easily all day long without bothering those who want to rest or take a afternoon siesta! Egio Town (only 5km away from the house): Inside the city of Egio (one of the oldest towns in Greece and 2nd biggest town of Achaia you can find the main shopping area, cafes and bars as also many traditional churches. You cannot miss the huge Church of Panagia Tripiti, built inside a huge rock with a very interesting history behind. What is more at the port of Egio you can find many café-bars, restaurants and taverns with stunning views at the sea and the whole landscape of Peloponnese as also the wonderful sunset. Except from the beautiful beaches, nice taverns and great summer baths in front of our property you can also make 1-day excursions in historical places as also visit important monuments from ancient Greece such the above: •Delphi, (146 km from Egio) is among the most popular ancient sites in Greece. As Delphi was actually a sanctuary to god Apollo, all monuments are connected to the cult of the god and the oracle. This is why in Delphi are the Temple of Apollo, on the basement of which was the oracle, the Ancient Theatre were rituals to the god were offered, the Ancient Stadium where athletic events to honor the god were offered, and other monuments. These were actually athletic events taking place every four years as part of celebrations for god Zeus. Today, the site hosts remains of ancient temples, a stadium and the Archaeological Museum. This museum hosts stunning pieces found at excavations in the ancient site and the region of Olympia, such as the Statue of Hermes of Praxiteles and the Nike of Paionios. What is more you can take the Cog Train of Kalavryta that covers a distance of about 22km between Kalavryta and Diakofto in an hour. It is said that this is one of the most beautiful trips in the world as the train passes through some rare natural sceneries. •In a distance of 4 and 8 km from our beachfront property you can reach the beautiful and traditional villages of Logos and Selianitika, where you can find super nightclubs right in front of the beach as also elegant bar restaurants, traditional fish taverns, cafeteria’s, gelaterias etc. Akoli beach is 206km(2hours drive) away from Athens international airport and 38km(40min drive) away from Patras seaport. A car would be advised for all guests if they want to explore nearby villages,beaches and the city of Aigio. Guests with no car can walk around the village since everything is within walking distance and can call for a taxi if they want to visit a different area.
