A charming cottage overlooking a field with no houses in sight. The cottage is furnished with a kitchen/sitting room with woodburner and upstairs there is a king sized bed in the bedroom with a modern bathroom with power shower. Luxury 300 thread count white bedlinen and white fluffy towels and bathrobes are provided for your stay. Very peaceful with lots of lovely local walks and yet only 8 miles from Tunbridge Wells. Very close location to lots of English castles. The kitchen has an oven, fridge, dishwasher, white corian sink, salt and pepper and a welcome pack which includes freshly laid eggs from our hens. The sitting room is open plan with the kitchen and has a TV and sofa. There is also a wood burning stove to cosy up to on a cold evening. . Upstairs there is a king sized bed with a luxury anti allergy mattress and a luxury down duvet with white linen cover. The feather pillows are also covered with anti allergy covers. We supply shampoo, shower gel and conditioner in the shower and white fluffy towels. We also include 2 white towelling robes during your stay. There are lots of local walks and footpaths which are readily accessible from the property. There is a pub called The Castle Inn serving draught beer (Tonbridge bitter) but no food currently only a few minutes walk away. The Halfway House Pub between Horsmonden and Brenchley is only 2 miles from us and has a large selection of beers, a big beer garden and serves a wide range of food. The Poet in nearby Matfield and the Smallholding in Kilndown offer fine dining experiences. This is a great base to explore all that Kent has to offer whilst at the same time only a 40 minute train journey into London. We live next door and you will have your own front door and own sunbathing area and garden. We have a vegetable garden which you can help yourself to and this includes tomatoes, lettuces, rhubarb, herbs, runner beans, mange tout and whatever else is in season. There is also a barbeque for you to use. We have plenty of room in the garages to park your car and if you are keen cyclists can accommodate bicycles as well. We are around for advice as to where to go and what to see. We are located near many National Trust properties notably Sissinghurst, Scotney Castle and Hever Castle. There is a cinema 8 miles away in Tunbridge Wells and a train station 3 miles away in Paddock Wood. Although the cottage is in a rural area there is a pub 5 minutes walk from the cottage. There are lots of walks locally and we have these printed out for your use. The cottage is in a rural area but there are houses nearby although you cannot see these from your windows. It is very quiet and peaceful. There is plenty of parking but we are a mile and a half from the local bus stop so a car is essential. The nearest supermarket is Waitrose in Paddock Wood which is 3 miles away where there is also a Tesco Express; we can buy groceries for you in advance of your arrival for a small fee. There is a washing machine/tumble drier, freezer and microwave for your use and a washing line outside.
