The little guest garden is located in the grounds of the farm. Situated just up from the Derwent River and next to the Derwent Walk and the C2C cycle route, the surrounding countryside has many beauty spots for walking, running, cycling and swimming. Within walking distance the village has a cafe, small Tesco’s and Boots, a hairdresser, beautician, florist, newsagent, fish & chip shop and micro pub. A short walk along the Derwent Walk brings you to the Derwent Park with playing fields, riverside picnic areas and kids playgrounds. The expansive grounds of National Trust Gibside offers a tea shop and programme of events/activities throughout the year. In addition to a number of National Trust properties within easy reach there is the amazing Beamish Museum, Hadrian’s Wall, Kielder Reservoir & Observatory and the famed Castles along the Northumbrian coastal route - all making for enjoyable days out. In exceptional circumstances we will consider an additional pet for a supplementary fee. In addition we offer a dog walking service (charges apply). Pets must be kept on lead in the shared areas of the farm and we ask that pets are kept off the furniture and linens. On fine days the chickens and ducks will be roaming and we have a friendly cat and cockerpoo. There are 3 bee hives located on the farm.
