This completely self-contained 2 bedroom designer barn and hidden rural gem is a writers and walkers paradise - located in a stunning part of rural West Sussex and only 1hr 20mins from London The barn is an architect designed space consisting of an open plan downstairs living area with wood burning stove in the sitting area, a dining table, breakfast bar and fitted kitchen. There is a small utility room off this space with a washing machine, tumble dryer, and freezer to help make your stay convenient and comfortable. Upstairs there are two double bedrooms, Bedroom 1 has a double bed, and bedroom 2 has twin single beds, and a modern bathroom with large walk-in shower, toilet & basin. Each of the bedrooms have large picture windows with stunning views of the landscape. One of the bedrooms has a large desk - ideal for quiet undisturbed work away from the hubbub of life. This is a whole house, with private back garden and outside seating areas with garden table & chairs. Parking is in front of the property. The access is shared with the main house next door. Access to the door of the barn is down a garden path to the left of house into private fenced back garden with private front door. Kate and Rob live locally and are on hand to meet and greet you and ensure you have everything you need for a wonderful stay. Just make sure to tell them when you will be arriving. There is a self check-in option using key box near front door. Access to be agreed in advance with host. Situated in the South Downs National Park the house sits in a unique area of woodland and common that is perfect for walking and exploring the beautiful countryside. The house is very close to the historic market towns of Petworth and Midhurst. Both these towns are extremely picturesque with Cowdray Castle ruins and gardens and Petworth House and park worth a visit in their own right. The house is within walking distance of Petworth Park. Other stunning country houses and gardens such as Parham, Uppark, Arundel Castle, and Woolbeding are all within easy reach by car. There are loads of amazing local pubs like the Horse Guards in Tillington, the Duke of Cumberland Arms in Henley, the Noah's Ark in Lurgashall, and the Hollist Arms in Lodsworth. There is also horse riding available locally and lots of bridlepaths. The county town of Chichester with its cathedral, art galleries, roman ruins and restaurants is only half an hour away by car. And just beyond Chichester Harbour - dotted along by charming villages such as Bosham and Dell Quay - is the open sea and the huge sandy beach of West Wittering. The house is about 1 hour 20 minutes from South West London down the A3, about 45 mins from Junction 10 of the M25 and within easy reach of trains from Haslemere to London Waterloo, or Pulborough to London Victoria.
