Lime Cottage, Matlock, Peak District, Derbyshire
Lime Cottage was built in the 1800s and is cosy and contemporary and a great base to explore the Derbyshire Dales and Peak District. The cottage is nestled into the hillside and is up approximately 49 steps so not for those with limited ability, but once you're up there the view to High Tor and the River Derwent is stunning. Lime Cottage is in a perfect position between the bustling Matlock Bath and Matlock - a 10-15 minute walk either way. The cosy cottage sleeps 5 in 3 bedrooms; a double bedroom, a small single bedroom and a twin bedroom (with two singles). The cottage has a lounge on the front overlooking High Tor opposite, a dining room and a kitchen. The cottage has two terraces, one immediatley in front of the cottage and another a few steps down in amongst the greenery. Both have great views and there's a small table and chairs on each terrace for outside dining or simply enjoying the view. Lime Cottage has parking for one car. If parking is needed for another car the lay-by opposite is free otherwise there's a pay and display further along the road towards Matlock Town.
