Shepherds Hut on our farm, close to Alton Towers

The Shepherds Hut is our latest project. It is nestled in our walled garden. It has all you need for a relaxing break including lovely views from the deck, wood burning stove, hot shower, mini kitchen and a comfy bed area. The clever design allows both a dining table with chairs or comfy oak framed seatingto relax by the wood burner. Meet our sheep, hens, cats, cows and dogs whilst wandering our fields or walk from the property in to Dimmingsdale & Alton village. We are 5mins from Alton Towers. We have a 9 acre small holding which you are welcome to walk around and meet our friendly animals. The hut is set in a private garden with BBQ, deck area plus hiddenpicnic becjch within the trees. We are on the outskirts of Alton village with a footpath and walks directly from the property through Dimmingsdale and into the village itself. Alton Towers is a 5 minute drive and the rides can be seen through the woods from our fields. We are happy for you to wander our fields and meet our animals. We live on site and happy to answer any questions our guests have. We won’t however impose on your break away. Living on the edge of Alton village we are close to several great pubs, Alton Towers itself plus beautiful walks in the Churnet Valley. The are in a short drive from Ashbourne, Derby and Stoke which is home to Wedgwood, Emma Bridgewater and Middleport potteries and more. Cannock Chase, the Roaches and the Peak District are less than 30 minutes in the car, great for walking, cycling and climbing enthusiasts. We have parking on site.
