Riverside Farm Cottage is located within 12 acres of private land, where the rive Dove flows through the grounds and stunning views and wildlife aplenty can be enjoyed. The Cottage has been stylishly renovated to high standards. This wonderful cottage comes with some unusual added extras, including fishing rights on the river Dove, guests are welcome to collect eggs from the owner’s hen house, and there are even two folding bicycles and sledges available on request! The kitchen is large, modern and well equipped, there’s a cosy wood burning stove in the sitting room, the master bedroom has a super-king four poster bed, and all the other beds are generous and luxurious too. Riverside Cottage makes the perfect multi-generational break; when you stay here you really won’t want to leave. In the grounds, kingfishers, herons, otters, squirrels and much more can be seen. The south facing patio has a stunning vista and makes alfresco dining a tempting option, and the perfect place to relax in tranquil surroundings. Just a few minutes’ walk away is the bustling town of Kirkbymoorside, and the North York Moors National Park beyond, so there are walks right from the doorstep - that is, if you can tear yourself away from the gorgeous grounds. Ground Floor: Spacious hallway leading to Kitchen/ dining room With an electric oven with separate electric hob, multi- functional microwave, two combined fridge/freezers and an additional fridge, dishwasher, sandwich maker, blender and electric whisk. Dining table and seating for eight guests (five chairs and a bench). Utility room With washing machine, tumble dryer and coat storage area, cloakroom and WC. Sitting room Duel aspect room with three sofas, a wood burning stove, television with Freeview and a DVD player, Hi-Fi, CD player and digital radio, bird watching equipment, maps, books and games. Patio doors lead to the garden. Master bedroom With a 6’ super-king size four poster bed. En-suite shower room With shower, wash basin and WC. Bedroom two With a 6’ super-king size zip and link bed which can be converted to two 3’ twin beds on request. En-suite shower room With shower, wash basin and WC. First Floor: Bedroom three With a 5’ king-size bed. Bedroom four With a 3’ single bed and a 2’6 pull out trundle bed (suitable for a child). Family bathroom With a bath and separate walk-in shower, wash basin, WC and heated towel rail. Outside: Enclosed patio area accessed via an iron gate or from the sitting room patio doors, Rattan garden chairs and coffee table, gas barbecue, lawn area with post and rail fencing. Folding bicycles and sledges available on request. Parking for three to four cars on driveway. Guests are welcome to respectfully walk the surrounding fields where sheep and lambs graze. A fence divides the garden from the fields but is not fully enclosed. Additional Information: Children over five years of age and babes in arms are welcome. Sorry, no pets. The river may be deep and fast flowing so children should be supervised at all times around there. There is a wall dividing the cottage from the river. Swimming is prohibited as it disturbs the wildlife. The eighth bed is a pull-out trundle bed, so the cottage is suitable for maximum seven adults. Travel cot and high chair available on request.
