Gorgeous Family Home in Lewes
Our lovely house is nestled in the South Downs National Park just outside the centre of the beautiful town of Lewes. It has four bedrooms (1 super king, 1 king, 1 double and 1 single) and can happily sleep seven. The house has all the mod cons that you would expect for a fun loving family of five. As keen cooks, the kitchen is well equipped and there is a generous garden for kids and adults alike to enjoy. The street is amazingly quiet and because of it's position enjoys cracking sunsets. The house has all the mod cons that you would expect for a fun loving family of five. As keen cooks, the kitchen is well equipped and there is a generous garden for kids and adults alike to enjoy. The street is amazingly quiet and because of it's position enjoys cracking sunsets (see photos) and amazing starry nights. There is free parking on the road and we have our own private driveway too. Lewes town centre is a 10-15 minute walk as is the train station. There are loads of fantastic walks directly from the house where you can enjoy panoramic views of Lewes and the South Downs - there's also a great log burning stove to warm up by after. We have recently added a secure summer house with two extra beds, heating and wifi which can be rented at additional cost to any guest. The house gives us the best of both worlds - easy access to one of the most beautiful towns in the country while also giving the feeling of space and the wilds of the South Downs. There is a minimum of 4 nights stay apart from in the summer when the minimum is 7 nights. Guests may access the whole house. I will always be contactable by phone and email during your stay. Our neighbourhood is fantastically quiet but minutes away from great pubs, shops and restaurants. Being on top of the South Downs the views are sublime and it only takes a few minutes walk to really be out in the Sussex wilds. There is a strong sense of community and people are really friendly. The house is also only 7 miles from the bustling and alternative city of Brighton and Hove. There are great bus and train links there. There are great train links from Lewes to London, Brighton, Hastings and all other south coast destinations. The bus service to Brighton is also very good and quick with the bus stop being five minutes from the house.
