Pleasant 1 room apartment

In Groningen, close to the city centre and the railway-station, we live in a spacious, 1915-built house. On the top floor we have a pleasant guest-room where you are welcome to feel at home. You have your own kitchen, bathroom and lavatory. We live on the ground- and first floor. You have access to the top floor through the front door and over the stairs we also use. But the room, kitchen, bathroom and lavatory are all yours and don't have to be shared. We love to tell you about Groningen and its surroundings. We hike and bike around a lot and can give you tips to find your way around. The same goes for cultural highlights and events. We live in a relatively small and quiet neighbourhood. A few steps away there is a wonderful, almost museological street, the Willemstraat. Walking throught it brings you 100 years back in time. For shops, cafés etc. you have to leave the neighbourhood, but you don't have to go far. Very near is the Oosterpoort-quarter where you find a supermarket, biological shop, hairdressers, cafés, a bicycle-repairshop. And the concerthall De Oosterpoort, with its classical and popconcerts on nearly daily basis. The city centre is just a few steps further. We also live near the outdoor pool De Papiermolen that is open from may until august on a daily basis. Our house is near the railway station. If you leave via the south-entrance, it's a 10 minutes walk. There is a bike-rental at the station. If you come by car, we're easy to find, we live not far from the south-part of the beltway (exit Helpman, direction Centrum). We are a payed-parking-area. For short periods we can help you out with our parking pass for guests, for a longer stay we advice to use one of the P&R-spots. You find them when you enter the city.
