Contained within a converted 19th century Chapel/School this modern single ground floor annex provides a restful haven for weary travelers. With its own private courtyard and outside fireplace there's a feeling of peacefulness inside and out. If you fancy a short stroll, the Hare and Hounds pub provides excellent food and entertainment, and there are direct buses to Leeds, Wakefield, Elland Road and the White Rose Centre. Offering guests a single ground floor of private living space with your own courtyard and outside fireplace. The Old School House Annex offers peace and privacy with your own private front door. If your fancying a romantic evening outside a fire can be lit for you on request (a small charge of £5 per fire would be required to cover costs) Inside an open plan lounge and kitchen which offers full cooking facilities ( including dishwasher). with a breakfast bar for two. In the lounge a large flat screen TV with BT Vision (sports package) provides the entertainment whilst a computer desk and chair provides a touchdown area for laptops. (Free wifi provided) If you cant find anything on the TV a pack of cards, games compendium and some books are also provided. The bedroom has a lovely view of the outside courtyard. Plenty of hanging space is available as well as a safe for storage of your valuables. The generous bathroom which is en-suite to the bedroom, has a shower, hot towel rail, plus free toiletries so help yourself. Guest WiFi throughout. The Old School House Annex has private guest access via the shared Drive automated Gates. Other things to note Your stay includes a light continental breakfast which is left for you. - Croissants - Butter/Jam - Milk - Juice - Fresh Coffee, Tea, Hot Chocolate & Biscuits to help yourself anytime during your stay. - Opposite is The Hare and Hounds Public House Serving meals most days and breakfasts through the weekend. A fresh coffee machine, cutlery & plates, Toaster, Pots/Pans microwave, fridge-freezer and dishwasher are all provided Maximum guests is three. A fold down bed will be offered for **third guest** and will be placed in the lounge. A Baby cot (**fitted mattress sheet only**) is available if required. No pets allowed. There is a hair-dryer & toiletry draw for guests who are travelling light. Central heating radiators provide a constant cosy temperature. Please use the Airbnb Guidebook, photos & online maps to get a feel for the area and space before booking. **Please note that our family live in the other side of the building and even though there is sound insulation, from time to time, you may hear some noises. I will attempt to meet all our guests and am happy to tell them a little bit of history about the 150 year old chapel/school they will be staying in. The immediate neighborhood is semi rural , surrounded mainly by farmers fields and small woods. The Leeds Country way passes just 30 yards from our house in what we consider a delightful oasis between Leeds, Wakefield and Dewsbury, and yet we are a couple of minutes away from the motorway network of the M1 and M62. With excellent access to Bronte country, historic York, the Yorkshire Dales and much much more the Old School Annex provides a perfect hub for any stay in Yorkshire. If you don't fancy taking your car a walk around the local Ardsley reservoir provides a fabulous way to get some wonderful fresh air whilst admiring the lovely views. The local bus stop is around a 30 second walk away and provides direct access to Leeds, Wakefield, Batley and the White rose shopping centre ( about 15 mins away depending on traffic ). There is secure parking for 1 vehicle on the premises and an overflow car park in the village around 2 min walk away for any further vehicles. We have a no smoking policy within the Annex however if guest want to smoke within the outside courtyard they are more than welcome
