Loxley's Lodge - Sherwood Forest getaway

Self-catering accommodation for up to 6 people in the heart of Sherwood Forest, home of Robin Hood. Loxley's Lodge is located approximately 1 mile down a single track lane off the A614 trunk road. It is self-contained within its own secure grounds and affords easy access to a variety of tourist attractions, activities and a large network of cycle tracks and woodland walks whilst also offering a secluded, private and peaceful base from which to enjoy the forest. The internal log beams create a unique and tranquil atmosphere whilst the underfloor heating and log burner will ensure you stay cozy and warm in the most coldest of winters. A complimentary bag of logs is provided but further bags can be purchased for £4 per bag (cost price). The lodge has 3 bedrooms with an en-suite attached to the master. There are televisions in the living area and in all 3 bedrooms, all with Freesat and DVD players (Blu-ray player in the living area). Two of the bedrooms can be arranged as either twins or doubles (Superking size) whilst the master bedroom features a Kingsize log bed. There is a fully equipped kitchen which incorporates a built in oven and hob, an eye-level microwave, fridge-freezer, washer-dryer and dishwasher. The main bathroom has a bath with shower above and there is an additional shower in the en-suite. A travel cot & high chair are available on request at no extra charge. Outside there is ample private parking for 3 cars, a 6 person hot-tub and a covered seating area. Guests have full access to the entire property having to share only with those they travel with. The property lies in the heart of Sherwood Forest and is within easy access to a variety of tourist attractions, activities and places of interest. Guests also have access to numerous cycle tracks and footpaths almost as soon as they step outside. Whilst the lodge itself is secluded within its own grounds, it is located in a peaceful rural area with neighbouring properties relatively close by. I therefore ask that guests are mindful of this and that they respect the peace & tranquility of the area when enjoying the hot tub and outside space. There are numerous forest walks and also the Southwell trail which is a 7.5 mile path stretching from Bilsthorpe to Southwell suitable for walkers or cyclists. *** The lodge is situated in a quiet, peaceful location with neighbouring properties in the vicinity. We therefore respectfully ask that guests be mindful of this when enjoying the outside space. *** (Website hidden by Airbnb) **PETS** The lodge is pet friendly but there is an additional charge of £11 per pet per night or £65 per pet per week, payable by bank transfer prior to check in. Maximum 3 pets unless by prior agreement. ***Please do not allow dogs on the furniture or in the bedrooms. The fee for dogs is intended to cover additional cleaning costs only.
